After investigating leaks from the dielectric connectors we found both connectors to be poorly moulded and missing internal seals. Fixing a leaky seal is not a big deal, however this is an unvented hot water system and very hot water was leaking under pressure and running down the front of the unit and over an unsealed plastic cover housing the water heater electrics and heating element. make sure the mating faces of the dielectric connectors are perfectly flat and internal rubber seals / washers are present.
