PATPET Shock Collar for Medium Dogs(8-110 lbs), Dog Training Collar with Remote for 2 Dogs

Love this product. This is our 3rd generation Patpet dog collar. Having the options to just beep or vibrate or shock gives you a lot of flexibility. We have a 2 year old Lab/Border Collie mix. Within a few weeks we had her fully trained to come, Leave it and wait on command. Seems every few months we need to put it on her as a reminder. Just having the collar on without having to use it is all you will need. I would suggest when setting up the shock level to try it on yourself first by putting 1 finger on both contacts and give yourself a shock. My suggestion would be to work with just the beep first and work yourself to the shock part only if needed. Personally, i have used the shock only a handful of times.In addition, be sure you only use the collar for a few select commands. My dog loves to say hi by jumping up which no one likes. After training her on the 3 commands I added a 4th which was OFF. Well, that did not work. My kids came over, She jumped, I shocked and she responded by coming to me and then ran back and jumped up on the kids. My point is that you cant us it for everything. If you do, It will become confusing to the dog\Very important to make sure it is tight on your dogs neck otherwise you are just shocking their fur. There was a lady at the park yesterday trying to control her dog with the collar but to no avail. When i checked it out the collar was at least an inch from the skin. Once it was tightened, totally different result.Anyway, great product, recommend to all our friends and colleagues.Always hard to know which reviews to trust, Trust this one!

We have four small dogs that love to bark (after the first one starts things off). I have a set of two of the previous iteration and it works fabulously! The upgraded model has rechargeable batteries, standard usb, and is waterproof. Great upgrade.I don't use the shock option as primarily the "tone" works virtually all the time, only needing the vibration when they are extremely naughty.The unit has great range..when the dogs are barking in excess in the back yard 400+ feet away, I just "beep" them and they immediately come running into the house and jump on my lap in my recliner. I used to have to get up, go to the back door and yell at them, but no more.2 of the dogs like the collars when presented to them in the morning, the other 2 I sometimes have to convince them to wear.In the house, when not wearing them, if I need to get control of the mass of little dogs, I often only have to hold up the controller and they settle.The training tone is great and actually I recorded it and placed it on my cell phone and can just play a short burst and works good too after they are trained.Highly recommended and worth the purchase.

PATPET has outdone itself with this new training collar. The first day my dog wore it she jumped in the lake. My old collar would have been toast, but this collar is waterproof. There's no guessing if the collar is working, there is a tester included. No more guessing. It never needs batteries as everything is re-chargeable. I like the on/off switch on the controller so I don't have to worry about bumping the buttons accidentally. It also shows which collar is being used, so you don't have to guess which dog gets the reminder. One collar is blue, one is gray so its super easy to keep collars straight. The controller has vibrate and beep tone mode. I haven't used the shock mode on the pictured dog since the first training session. Now, when I put the collar on, both her memory and hearing is perfect. Thank you PATPET for making user-friendly upgrades and keeping the price so affordable.

I returned the first set I ordered because it seemed the collars didn't hold a charge for very long. Having received the replacement set, I realize it could have been an operator error. The instructions that came with the colllars are not very clear. So, to help, here's what I found out....touch the power button on the collar once briefly to turn the collar on and do a long press (it will beep and vibrate) to turn it off. The green light that blinks when you turn the collar on only blinks for a short while. The collar is still working. The transmitter turns itself off after a certain time of non use, so expect a short delay in transmission if it hasn't been used for awhile. Cons: the receiver and collar are built together. The instructions are poor. They come with only 2 charge cords, you have 3 things to charge (I bought another charge cord )Pros: the batteries last 4 to 7 or 8 days, I'm sure usage affects this. The range is great. They recharge fast, in a couple of hours. I haven't used the shock option as the beep works with my dogs. I do recommend this product but haven't had them long, so don't know about durability.

This PatPet p-collar 680 is a big step up from other PatPet collars that I've used. The remote is very improved including using a slide switch on the side to choose which collar you are connected to. Previously I had the 320 which only had a button for this and you needed to see the screen on it to be sure. This would cause a possible delay in the correction and the moment passes where it would be useful. This remote comes with a wristband and the previous had a belt clip which I miss, the remote here does fit better in your had for more natural moves to press the needed button/switch. From what I have experienced is that the battery life on the two is about the same. These units are much less bulky for the dog to wear and just seem more astatically pleasing. With this unit one collar has reflective stitching and the other does not.Overall I believe this is a major upgrade from the previous product, it has much better handling and features. I definitely recommend this model.
