Great products with excellent Customer Service
I've had the original eufy monitor and cameras for over 3 years and just recently upgraded to this version. My original monitor hung in there despite kids chewing on it and dropping in multiple times but this version is even more full proof without the kickstand and antenna, plus it gets better range. I purchased this set for the additional camera and when the software was not compatible with my older two cameras I reached out to customer service via email and had help right away with instructions on updating the cameras software. When that did not work they provided a prepaid shipping label and managed the software upgrade on my behalf and mailed back within the week. One of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long while!

UPDATE: battery is a risk!
UPDATE: (from 3⭐️ to 1⭐️) our kiddo has arrived. Started using this device. At first all seemed fine. Battery said it was at full capacity. After a half day use the batter was low. Okay, so I plugged in the device using the correct plug and cable (they are labeled from the factory). Overnight the screen stayed plugged in with its red light indicator and the battery meter showing it was charging. After 12 hours of continuous charging the batter was getting lower. Okay so I tried resetting the device and plugged in the device overnight with it powered off. The next day, after 6+ hours of charging the batter was so low it was giving the low battery indicator. Finally I thought, well maybe it will work while it’s at least plugged in. NO! While we were in another room with the monitor on the monitor just died and turned off without any warning. no one knows how long the newborn was sleeping without any monitor. This is a seriously irresponsible and dangerous product. You will see all kinds of people reporting that they had battery issues. I’ve now had two different devices and both have battery problems! Please do not buy this product. Okay so I saw all the reviews about the battery issues. I also watched a lot of videos about the product but I decided to give it a shot. I ordered a renewed product to save a buck and the first unit sent to me had a battery issue. I would not hold a charge past say 5%. I left it charging for 48 hours and still died after a few minutes from being detached from the charger. I checked the cable and everything it was an internal issue with the battery. So Amazon made it easy to get a replacement sent. The 2nd one seemed to work no problem. But I say this as a reality check. There seems to be a high enough probability that a battery issue might come up. At least with renewed products. My theory is; the 1st renewed product has a problem with the battery and it wasn’t fully realized before they put it back on the market. So you’re more likely than not going to have a battery issue with renewed ones vs a brand new one. Other than the battery issue. Some things to note: no wide angle lens. You want this then you need to order it separately from the manufacture. No wifi or Bluetooth option. This isn’t very clear but connecting this camera to the internet or to your Bluetooth device is not an option at all. So if you want that flexibility then you should look at a different product. Overall I am happy with the working product. It seems to do the job well.

Second broken unit in two years
Baby monitors are a safety device. If a company doesn't stand by the quality of a safety device that needs to work, don't buy products from that company. On the surface this monitor checks a lot of boxes, but the quality just isn't there. And what makes it worse is that Eufy doesn't stand by the quality of their products. First purchase - The battery pack failed after only 12 months of use. Second purchase - Just after 12 months, the monitor started glitching and would no longer connect to the camera. These products seem to be designed to fail early. Avoid at all costs.

Good product, but skip the renewed version
Product is easy to use and works great, however buying the product renewed didnt work out well. The screen wouldnt hold a charge and would die after a few minutes. Had to go through the hassle of a return. Eufy usually makes great stuff but, at least with this purchase, the renewed was a waste.

Must Have
Okay, I know everyone is loving the app-based cameras that link to your phone, but I think this has to be a backup or your main monitor. We had issues with our wifi one that you had to use your phone to view. It would go in and out all the time. We decided to get this one and I genuinely haven't had a single problem. It's perfect for larger homes because the coverage area is pretty large. The sound level alarm is a great feature as well.

Defective Monitor - Bad Customer Support
Monitor worked fine for a while. I had a few minor complaints. It was difficult to connect multiple cameras to one monitor because of outdated firmware, and updating the firmware is a nightmare to figure out. Even after updating the firmware it still gave constant error messages. Then, less than 1 year in, the monitor stops working completely. I followed all the troubleshooting steps and none worked, so I reached out to Eufy customer support. They unhelpfully suggested I try all the same steps. After that didn’t work they informed me they will not replace the monitor as it is outside their very short 3 month warranty. They did assure me however that they log all complaints (they must get tons) so they can further research for issues and improve their products. Great to know, but does me no good. Save yourself the hassle and buy a monitor from a company that has any level of customer support.

High defect rate or inaccurate directions
The instructions with this unit mention charging the camera and the display. The first unit I received would not operate the camera without the USB cable plugged in. I returned it to Amazon as defective. The replacement unit *also* would not operate without being plugged in. Either I've got a 0/2 defect rate or the instructional manual is inaccurate and the camera module does not actually charge. In either case, this is frustrating. I'd return it and buy a competitor, but I'm just worn down. Between this and Eufy's recent security issues, I think I need to reconsider the positive impression I've had from Anker's products in the past. Quality seems to have dropped substantially.
