Fit my generator and works fine with no leaks
I ordered this replacement petcock for a Hyundai HD3500 generator, I purchased cheap, to replace the original which was completely clogged. This does seem more light weight and flimsy compared to the original petcock. However, I was able to install this and had no problems with fuel leaking. The handle turns fine, and I think that I will just have to take care with how I turn it on and off. I used PTFE on the threads coming out of the fuel tank and an adjustable wrench to tighten this on. I did not over tighten it, just snugged it up. On the initial installation, there was no fuel leaking from the threads or around the nut. The petcock appears to be working fine, and hopefully it will last.

Good fit to a Westinghouse WGEN9500
Identical to original in form and fit. I hope it lasts longer than the original. For $10 it's worth keeping a spare. Losing an engine to a $10 solution would suck. 4 of 5 rating because I don't have performance over time experience.

I'm not glad that I borrowed this generator (that’s what I get ...
5 stars for fit, it is the same unit as the OEM petcock and is the same (No stars) lack of quality. This (made off shore) fuel petcock fit the (made off shore) Irwindale Industrial IG7800, 7,800 Watt (supposed) Inverter Generator ( believe this generator is marketed under different names). I had to change the original petcock because when I was removing the fuel line to drain the fuel tank, the paper thin zinc casting (or what ever flimsy metal is used) fuel line nipple snapped off in my fingers, so be very careful when removing or replacing the fuel line on the petcock as this replacement petcock is the same as the OEM petcock. This generator when set on 240V, and when under no load or a light load produced very different voltages on each hot leg, when under heavy load (240 well pump) the voltages would even out, but when wired in to the electrical panel it burned out several 120V products that happened to be on the hot leg with higher voltage. You get what you pay for, I'm not glad that I borrowed this generator (that’s what I get for borrowing) but I am glade (and I learned the hard way), it is better to pay up for a guality (real) inverter generator.

Caution Be Prepared For Product Failure and MacGyver Fix
First off, let me say that this valve does indeed provide the root needed function which is a fuel cut-off. It however like all the other reviews you will see, breaks when you try to install it. This is due to the difference in depth from the stock flange compared to this knock-off part. Very close but still different enough to sheer off the top edge of the flange that secures the mounting nut while tightening it to the bottom of the generator tank. On to the MacGyver Fix: So since the flange is still there on the cut-off valve just missing the mounting nut and flange edge and that its a non-pressurized line (see the output held on with a wire hose clamp) I went to the local auto parts store and purchased 6" of 1/2 inch fuel line and a couple of hose clamps. I secured this to the bottom flange of the fuel tank and then onto the top of the cut-off valve for the win. In all cost $6.00 and change and took about 10 minutes to do.
