The Story Of A Couple And Thier Battle With A Camera
This is how the story goes. I received this in 2 days prime rocks! I open the package and reveal it to all the family like a new born lion or something (you know the song). Everyone wants to touch it with their little sticky fingers so I cradle it like a football and run into my office to set it up. I say a little prayer and follow the directions on the little pamphlet. I fail on my first try I still am optimistic and I give it a try again but fail like 20 more times trying to connect the camera to wifi with the quick setup guide. I'm starting to feel worried but not defeated yet cause it clearly states quick setup may fail so I go on to the if so try another way step. I plug the network cable it came with into my router and follow those directions and fail 20 more times so I start reading the if you failed part of the pamphlet. I start thinking ok I wonder what my router settings are on? Maybe I need to change stuff in them? How do I do that I don't even know how? Feeling inadequate I curse the little camera and give up. Skip a day cause I don't got time for that! So today my husband grudgingly offers to help, you know he sat on the couch all day why must I bother him with such a task! Any way he gives it a good that a boy try but gives up when his phone conviently dies 15 minutes later. I am determined to not let this camera to defeat me in the imaginary battle of wits I'm having with it. So I give it a try once with the quick setup and again fail then once with the cable setup and again fail! My daddy always said "keep it simple stupid." He always knew how to put things so I could understand so that's what I did. There are lights on the back of the camera near the network cable plug spot. One is yellow and when the network cable is plugged in the other one is green. I have noticed that these lights keep going in and out so I think it has a bad connection so I switch the cable network out first with one my son just purchased for his computer but the green light won't stay solid nor will the yellow. At this point I remember two reviews on here one stating that the power cord was bad and another stating it only works when plugged into a laptop via USB port. I had an aha moment just like Oprah always talks about. I hope that my aha moment is correct but I must first test my theory so I plug it into my laptop and yes my baby camera starts to move and make noise! It shows online in the app! Ok so now to execute my super smart solution to solve the problem of being able to plug it into a wall outlet. I grab an extra plug and if you have an iPhone like me you probably have thousands of extra wall pluggy things but maybe it's only me so any way I plug the USB part of the cameras plug into my extra pluggy thing and plug it into the wall. The angels sing as I throw my phone into my husbands face bragging how I brought the camera to life! The camera can pan, hear and speak (Via the app ofcoarse) and everyone lived happily ever after. The end...12/13/2017 Update: I have purchased my second camera and two more on the way! My first one had a little problem, the picture turned black and white even though it was not dark. It was an easy fix once I had time, I just had to reset it and it was back to normal. The second one was a breeze to setup since I already had experience with setting up the first one. These are great cameras for the price really can not say anything bad about them I am hoping to say the same for the two that will be here soon. Still living happily ever after.

BAD USB adapter .....
*** Update -- 6/13/17 --- I have been able to set this up on my Android device and I am able to get to the devices at any location as long as I have a good Data connection. I have also added the app to a iPhone ( IOS - device) and when in my Network it works fine, but once I leave my Network, I get nothing. The App says that its not on the same network and never connects. I tried on Two iPhones and got the same thing. The company has never heard of this issue and has kept telling me that its cuase the cell phones are not on a Network... HUH???And now asks to have access to the cameras to diagnose. well that means they have access to the camera inside my home network.I may have to break down and do that... UNLESS ANYONE has any ideas of a possible fix..------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------**Update: After emailing back and forth with the seller, they have credited me back the cost of the (2) USB power adapters. very quick customer service.. glad they got back to me and wanted to resolve the issue.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I ordered two of these cameras. After reading most the reviews, I thought that it couldn't be that bad or hard. When I got the cameras, I went ahead and started to set one up. After plugging it in with the included Power adapter and cable, nothing was happening. I gave it about two minutes and still nothing. In the back where the where the Network connection and power cable are, there was no lights or anything. I went ahead and tried to follow instructions but still got nothing. So from there I figured I would plug it in directly to the home router and a USB connection on my computer. Well from there the camera came up and I was able to set it up. I went ahead and took the camera to the location I wanted to set it up at and used the included USB power adapter. And again, nothing. So I went to the second one that I ordered and used that USB power adapter... And you guessed it right, nothing happened. So, I took one of my personal USB adapters ( with the same output) and plugged the camera into that one. WALLA, it worked .. well I've had it set up for 24 hr. and its running OK. I have since emailed the company to see if they will send me (2) new USB adapters. If not, I'm returning these...We will see what happens

Not Perfect But Works for Us
My sister lives in an okay part of the neighborhood we grew up in and with being in a small, double gated apartment complex with a huge front yard for everyone to play in, plus her fur baby who likes to be mischievous, she wanted a camera for both protection and to keep a watch on the family when needed. The ip camera is nicely built and has a nice modern look to it. It has the ability to be moved by both the android app and PC to move side to side and up and down, which is convenient for my sister. They have the camera set up in the corner of their front window which is nice as turning it to right allows them to see their door step for when packages are scheduled to arrive and to the left to see the entire living room where her fur baby hangs around when they are not home. There are few times when it gets “stuck” when moving it around so sometimes we have to play around with it to get it working. At first, connecting the camera by wi-fi was a little difficult but once my brother in law changed a few settings on the LAN, it connected with no issues. We were all shocked as to how clear the resolution of the camera is, especially when in night vision mode. There is also the ability with the PC and app to take photos. There is also a setting for motion detection which can be a little finicky. For the most part, it can sense motion and will send alerts to our phones (I help watch the dog and nephew a lot so I have access to the camera). There are times though where it doesn’t so they usually have that option off. There is also 2 way radio which I sometimes abuse when one is home alone and want to prank them.Overall, they are happy with the camera, just the directions were a little hard to follow at times and a few small issues with the motion detection.
