I purchased these brushes some time ago, but wow! I still have them as they have lasted over years of use. If you were looking for a sign to order these, let this be it!

Like other reviewers, I noticed a bit of a chemical smell when I opened up my brush set. I placed the whole set out on my deck for a few hours to allow them to air out.The way I see it is this: the brushes have synthetic fibers in them, and the case is synthetic leather. The set was likely manufactured and immediately packaged, sealing in those odors. In my opinion, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. It means my makeup brushes are clean and were never exposed to any moisture, dirt, mold, or other things found in storage warehouses and shipping facilities. I would much rather air them out in or around my own home, verses wondering what sorts of dirt or bacteria might be lingering on my brushes, which are going to be used on my face.The brush set: The bristles are soft, with beautiful colors, cream-to-brown with soft lavendar tips, and two medium blending brushes with brown bristles. I haven't had any problems with shedding. They hold product well, the bristles have washed well using baby shampoo and water, the handles are comfortable and sturdy, and the storage case is attractive and well-made. I keep my brushes stored upright in a cup on my vanity, but the case is nice to have when traveling.Only one complaint: the color of the metal ferrules. The metal looks to be a muted gold in the photos, but in person it's a very orange matte brassy color. Not very pretty.There is a nice variety of sizes in the brushes, with the addition of one lash/brow wand, one brow comb/brush, and one small eye smudge sponge. The largest fan brush is VERY LARGE, about 4 inches across, and I'm not sure what to do with it, but it's very soft! My kids love to brush it on their faces while they watch me do my makeup.

I bought this set for my teenage daughter. She uses it all the time and seems to be pretty good quality.

The bristles are not good for application. I bought two and it for kids , not for adults, not when you want your makeup to be smooth

My granddaughter requested them for Christmas. She loves them!! Had not traveled with them so not sure about that.

I 😘 VE everything about this makeup/eye brush set. It truly was even more than what I expected in appearance and quality. They're beautiful, well made, soft where needed and sturdy where needed. They were everything a makeup addict like me could ever want and need. Additionally, as directed, I washed all these brushes in an antibacterial cold water bath. I gently washed each brush and absorbed the water using paper towels...then I shook each brush out and layed them out to dry. After they were dried I shook them out again and placed them back inside the convenient carry case that came with them. Perfection!

Considering the inexpensive price, the quality of this set is really nice. The brushes are very soft and full and have sturdy handles. I checked for loose hairs and there weren't many. I also tugged on the handles, which appear secure. There's an impressive variety of brushes and each brush comes wrapped in its own protective covering.I also love the case, which is a good size. I was able to fit about 10 more of my own brushes so the pockets are fairly generous. The leather-like material is good quality. There's also an interior flap that protects your brushes. The case folds over three times making it nice and compact so you can take it with you any where. And there is a snap-button closure, which I like much better than cords that have to be tied.One thing to note is that it did smell a little bit like chemicals, which went away once I aired out the case and washed the brushes. Overall this is an awesome value.

Purchased this as a gift. It came quickly wasPackaged well. Looked very nice and the recipient of the gift was very happy

Received them today, the pictures on amazon does not meet the quality I have received!! they look way better on amazon, brushes hair does not to be thick enough, I yet have to test them !!
