Wind-Up Ladybird (Wind-up Books)

These books are so awesome! We have this one and the Pirate Ship one now and love them both. This one is definitely for littler kids. The ladybug zooms around the track while the words describe the things she is moving past. This does require adult assistance since little hands cannot easily wind the ladybug up or put her onto the track. And it's a little bit noisy.The artwork is beautiful. And what a fun concept! Now we want the bus one too!

So happy with this purchase. Been looking for a wind up toy/book that has the tracks within the book. My granddaughter lost the one she had and loved. The ones I wanted were only available used and crazy expensive, the one paw patrol I bought didn't have tracks and was a waste of money. This one is adorable! We love it.

I'm disappointed in this. The ladybug doesn't move along the tracks. You wind the bug up and it kind of just gets stuck then runs out of steam. I've had to help push it along and even then it doesn't cruise along the track like I've seen the pullback versions do. I attempted all the tracks and laying the book on a flat surface and it still doesn't work. I spent a lot of money for a book that doesn't fulfill its actual function. Thought my son would love it, but its essentially junk.

Wonderfully illustrated engaging book for kids! The wind up lady bug really helps tell the story as she rolls along the track on each page. Brilliant idea!!

worth the money! fun

Great idea and ladybird goes around the pages well and really entertained my 2yo, however it only works well on the middle page. On the first couple and last couple the pages are wonky when open so you need to put something under the page to make it flat so the ladybird travels better. It is good though but no ideal unless level.

I like the concept of this book but not really sure it works too well. The ladybird whizzes around the track at such a speed that trying to keep up with the related text is impossible. She also has a fondness for crashing off the page, especially if the page isn’t held exactly on the horizontal. The illustrations and story are lovely though, it’s a shame they’re let down by the practicality.

I think this might be my 15 month old niece's favourite present this Christmas. She was absolutely enchanted by it and the best giggles have been had as she watches the ladybird whizz around. Illustrations are lovely and I love the durable, matte finish of this Usborne book. Great quality book/toy to make reading even more fun.

The book itself was fine but the windup ladybird wouldn't even do one circuit.Not worth what we paid for it

Do not order this product from Amazon!Ordered this for my baby daughter, however when it arrived the wind-up ladybird was missing.Ordered a replacement and the exact same thing happened again.Shame as the book itself seems good quality.Very disappointing!
