Simple and elegant!
Nicer than the plastic one I previously had.

A great replacement for the broken one.
It's good, clear glass. It fit a Western "Stubby" stick of butter with room to spare, and it looks long enough to fit Eastern (Elgin) Style. It's dishwasher safe, but a quick wash with hot water and soap and it sparkles. It kept the butter protected from stuff falling onto it but still allows in light to soften it.

Too delicate for granite tops
This is very delicate for a granite countertop. Otherwise it was perfect for me. It was just the right size. The lid stayed on very well to keep the air out and the minute I set it on the glass countertop I knew within a week I would have it broken just the tiniest little bang or slip it was going to break. I gave it away and I will be ordering something else, but as far as the size and the style and the price and the way it was made was a five star.

Great quality everyday product!
I mean, it’s great. Washes well, dishwasher safe and extremely easy to clean. This butter dish keeps the butter fresh for a long time. The glass is also nice and thick. You can’t beat a $12 price tag!

Nice product but small
This is a nice butter dish but it is kinda small. It is hard to put the cover on without getting butter on it.

Wasn't like either the photo [the lid of the dish I received is small with a handle at the top] or the measurements. When I looked at the measurements given, it seemed that it would hold a 500 g 'brick' of butter but it doesn't even fit a 250 g brick of butter. I will donate it as useless bric-a-brac to my local charity shop as it's too much bother to return the item - maybe someone else will find a use for it.
