No instructions included, drill your own holes(!), and hope you have the right size water bottle(2L only?)
Four plastic stakes arrived today in a small white box with NO INSTRUCTIONS. First, there are no watering holes on the stakes. After referring back to the website i saw in the Q&A (NOT in any product spec or explanation) that you have to poke or drill holes into the stakes based on the type of plant you are watering, and the size of the pot. So it is a complete trial and error to determine if the proper amount of holes have been drilled...so three possible outcomes: too few holes, too many holes, or by some luck of the draw just the right number, and of the three possibilities your plant is dead with two of them. Oh yes, and one of your holes should be above soil level to ensure there is air pushing the water down and out. Even worse...I've tried 3 bottles and only a 2L bottle fits. A 500ml Aquafina bottle and an Evian bottle were both too small. This is entirely unacceptable.Less than one star, as this cheesy device does not serve my purpose at all!

Very nice!!
Tried this out on a few house plants when I took a vacation and it worked great, no thirsty plants for once! The next test will be to see if these can handle the heat outdoors. Have some flower pots that seem to dry out every morning no matter how much I water them the night before.

Does the job
Gave this a try as I can never remember to water my poor plants every day. Was a bit confused by how they were supposed to work but found the instructions and they worked great! Decided to use the pinhole method since my pots are smaller and I can go about a week before needing to refill them again, but sometimes sooner.
