the best- forget the rest!
I got so obsessive and compulsive with this espresso/mocha coffee pot thing. And in all fairness, if you don't know a few things about this style of coffee maker, you can find yourself a little bit confused.I tried a few of this style of maker, for cheaper prices. I had some fun experimenting and managed to spend alot of money on this along the way and could have avoided it all by getting this one in the first place, the Vev Vigano from Italy. As you see, this one, in this color combination can be a little tricky to find. The "two tone" model seems a little more readily available. The Vev Vigano from Italy is simply the best and most solidly constructed pot of them all. The handle is placed wisely away from the pot and can be picked up bare handedly, although you may need a pot holder or glove. The pot is heavier than the cheaper ones I tried. The bottom seems thicker and stronger. I think maybe that transfers the heat better. There are no plastic parts, such as handles, etc, and I find that appealing.I tried cheapo aluminum pots, and for $9 in the bargain store, very good, but cheaply made, and some here got to me with the concerns of using aluminum.I tried a Primula for about $40 and recommend it for the money. This one, the Vev is built better, stronger. The Cuisinox interested me and got many high reviews here. It costs about the same as the Vev. It is from a Canadian company and I think it is made overseas. They make handsome pots too. But I see the Vev as the mother of all pots, and from Italy where this process was invented. They all have their virtues and make a good cup of coffee.***the 6 cup seems like a very good, popular size. Remember, many of us use this for coffee, plain old coffee. The 6-cup yields about 8 ounces of delicious coffee.

Quality item
Just received my new moka pot and I love that it's well made and that the handle is also stainless and not plastic. I seasoned the pot by brewing old coffee grind x 5 times. Expect leakage when new and when you do not make sure that there is no coffee grind on the gasket. I might update this review after 6 months of use.

POS
Wow, this thing is such a hunk of crap. The handle broke off within the first few uses, and the inside of the chamber that the water goes in rusts. I'm pretty sure that's not real stainless steel. It does the job, I suppose but yeah... Buy the Mokka brand steel pot. This one kind of sucks.

Prickly metal burr and scratches on item - returned immediately
There were 2 small yet noticeable scratches/abrasion (after that I stopped looking) on the finish that did not look to be caused by anything shipping related. Perhaps it was a display model?? Roughed up a bit for bad behavior??? What was even worse and less overlookable was a manufacturing defect on the inside where a prickly metal burr was left opposite where the handle was attached. Just awful. Sent it back w/o even trying to make espresso so sadly I can't comment on that. I'll probably try a different brand next from anybody other than the seller I got this one from.

Good Quality Stainless Steel Moka Pot
Very well made stainless steel moka pot. Much better quality than the 6 cop Bialetti Venus (which I bought and was dissatisfied with). Have used for several days now and am very happy with it.

Good Stuff
I love it. I'll probably get the 12 cup pot soon. Its perfect for the average american caffeine abuser when making one large cup, but two caffeine abusers will want the 12 cup pot. The one cup = one shot.Happy

Four Stars
great strong coffee, hard to open, and to remove the inner filter disc.

Two Perfect Cups
Perfect size for singletons. Makes 2 espressos, so works well when indulging alone. No more wasted coffee! Rubber ring is a standard size, so easy to replace. Nice durable design and easy to clean.
