Clean Burn, Works Great At High Elevations
I recently purchased this XIKAR PUROFINE butane to refill my torch lighter, and it has performed noticeably better than the cheaper butane I was using before. The zero impurities claim seems legitimate, as my lighter ignites more consistently and the flame burns cleaner without the sputtering or weak performance I experienced with lower quality fuel. I live at a fairly high altitude where some butane brands struggle, but this one fires up reliably even in those conditions, which is exactly what I needed. The 8-ounce canister is a decent size and has lasted me quite a while since you only need small amounts per refill. The nozzle fits my lighter's fill valve well, though I did have to hold it at the right angle to avoid any butane escaping during the refill process, which took a little practice. One thing to note is that the canister doesn't come with multiple adapter tips, so if your lighter has an unusual valve size, you might need to find an adapter separately. The fuel itself doesn't leave residue or clog my lighter, which has been a problem with cheaper options in the past. The price is higher than generic butane, but I feel like I'm getting better performance and potentially extending the life of my lighter by using cleaner fuel. Overall, it's a solid choice if you want reliable, high quality butane that works well in challenging conditions, though the cost might be overkill if you just have a basic lighter.

The top butane fuel for torch lighters
Doesn’t matter what brand I’ve tried I always come back to this one. I’ve thrown out nearly full cans because they don’t burn nearly as well as this one. Lighters just work better with this stuff. They also seem to last longer using this fuel. They cost a little more than a lot of other brands but burns so much better. I never thought butane brands could vary so greatly in quality but they certainly do. I only use this type now and have for a handful of years. As a side note- The all silver version from this brand does not burn as well as the black can version.

Clean, high-quality butane that keeps torch lighters running perfectly
This is exactly what I want from premium butane. It has been consistent for torch lighters, and I have not had any issues with clogging, gunk buildup, or uneven performance. The refill process is clean and straightforward, and the fuel has kept every lighter I’ve used it in working reliably. For anyone who wants a refined butane that performs the way it should, this is an excellent choice.

A most excellent butane lighter fluid.
It does what it says it does. You really need to turn your flame down when you start using this fluid, I thought it was a sales gimmick. No. This stuff really turns up the flame and lasts a super long time. Well worth the price. But I find no butane lighters work well in our central NY winters when you can't smoke indoors.

Best I've ever tried.
This stuff is great! my lighter flames actually get smaller until they're completely empty instead of sputtering out. It fixed a couple lighters I thought were broken. I tried the non high-altitude one and it was like all other butane's I've tried. Definitely worth it to buy the high-altitude instead.

Best lighter fuel
This is the best butane I have used, and I have tried a lot.

Cigar makes great lighter fluid
No problem with the product, but it only ships via USPS, for me that is an issue since I live in an RV in a RV park that the USPS won’t deliver to. That’s not an insurmountable situation, but the seller should state that in its description. I had to order it twice to get it delivered to an acceptable address.

Fires even in freezing Winter temps.
I have tried all the brands, and "triple refined" and "ultra refined" are almost meaningless compared to the quality and flammability of this fuel. In Chicago winters this will light consistently at below-zero temperatures when no other fuel will light. Note: this is with the lighter sitting in the garage at double-digit, sub-zero temps, and then firing immediately (not coming from the warm house). Also, this fuel will revive dead lighters- literally cleaning stopped valves with its purity. This is truly amazing stuff. It is high priced, but worth every cent. Even in the summer, when I could use lesser fuel without problems, my cigar torches are always filled with High Altitude Xikar in the black can.
