Sinfully Delicious!!
Wow, this book was just so sinfully delicious. This read is dark, intense, steamy and provocative. This is book two of this series and you must read book one, Come To Daddy first. This book is Damir and Bethany's story. After reading Come To Daddy, I was quite desperate for this couple's book and it did not disappoint. The story easily captured all my attention and had me reading every chance that I could. The characters are complex and evoke strong feelings in the reader. The super nova like sparks of attraction and the scorching intimate scenes between Bethany and Damir are hot enough to melt your ereader and will leave you squirming and in desperate need of an ice cold beverage. I loved the complicated relationship and feelings these two shared. Hate, love, fear, desire, affinity, longing and revulsion are twisted, combined and woven through this epic, not to be missed romance. I loved both of the books in this amazing series and I highly recommend them

action and sexy time
I read this via my ku subscription and am leaving my review voluntarily. This is book 2 of a duet and is not a standalone. Damir is a much darker character than his brother and the overall story is darker than book 1. It is not a Hallmark romance.Triggers:violence, murder, kidnapping, drugging, non-conSpoilers:Bethany, orphan, wants to marry a rich man who will love her. works for Mikhail (b1) she is attracted to and repelled by her boss' brother Damir.Damir, grew up with an uncaring mom, a jerk father and after his sister dies, he turns to revenge as his motivation in life. feeling like his brother has been betrayed him, he grabs Bethany (thinking this will bother his brother)there is alot of action. plenty of sexy time. violence. Dark, Thrilling and Hot, Hot, Hot!
I love Ms. Hale’s writing and I loved this book! After reading book 1 in the ‘Love Don’t Cost A Thing’ series, I was really curious to see how she was going to make us fall in love with Damir. (Brutal, psychotic, devastating Damir) But she totally did! I adored Bethany’s character too. She’s such a quirky, different personality type for a heroine and Hale really fleshed out her back story, bringing the snarky secretary from book one to life in an endearing way. Bethany and Damir were made for each other and I enjoyed every steamy, thrilling moment of their story. If you love dark, edgy romance with action, suspense and underground crime world intrigues then you’ll love Lap of Luxury. Be sure to read Come to Daddy (book 1) first though.

4.5 stars
Honestly I had a whole lot more fun with this book than the 1st one. Or maybe I'm just as sick cause I loved this couple way more. The ending was a bit cheesy to me but I'm not tripping over it.

Dark, Sexy and Unconventional
I didn't think it was possible, but Brianna Hale made me love a character I absolutely hated. When I read book one of his series, Come to Daddy, I despised Damir. Like, absolutely loathed him. But somehow she did it, and Damir is one of my favs.Dark, sexy and unconventional, Lap of Luxury is one hell of a read and you NEED to add it to your TBR.

Finally, an irredeemable hero.
Brianna Hale writes a really good good guy, but she writes an amazing bad guy. You love them. You hate them. You want to lick up their chest while simultaneously cursing them to every God that will listen. I love the conflicted feelings. And I loved Damir. He was evil incarnate and I wanted him all the more for it. There's just something intoxicating about a man who has such few redeeming qualities. Our heroine wasn't trying to save him, she was just trying to survive him. The things he did to her, the games he played with her, were so cruel, but he knew it was exactly what she wanted... what she needed, even if she wouldn't admit it to herself.Bethany was a fabulous heroine. I actually messaged Hale fourteen pages into the book virtually screaming, "Oh no, I'm Bethany!" At first I thought we were going to get yet another book on a dark soul corrupting an innocent girl (not that I don't love that stuff), but Bethany wasn't all sunshine and rainbows herself. The darkness inside her was there, it just wanted a reason to break free. The drama of kidnappings, and FBI manhunts, and brother trying to murder brother kept me on the edge of my seat the entire read. My head was spinning with hot scenes, escape plots, murders, and horror movies. There was no redeeming this murdering beast into a gentle husband (which is rarely believable when an author does it), so if you're into that you might want to look elsewhere. Damir starts as a cruel man and ends as a cruel man who would do anything for his woman, but he's not going to be nice about it... and Bethany doesn't want him to be. They truly had a connection that defied sanity, but felt totally believable and I was so jealous of her (insert dramatic weeping here).Lap of Luxury is beautiful darkness, so be prepared to sink beneath the waves. You're going to drown in this book...and love every second of it.
