Cold Air Inductions Elite Series Aluminum Cold Air Intake Kit For 2007-2008 GM Full Size Truck and SUV with 4.8L 5.3L 6.0L V8

Decent products for the price. A little overpriced for what you get seems like compared to some but still in the same ballpark as others and USA built and good quality. Pretty easy to install and adjust. Silicone tubes will expand for bigger throttle body which is nice. Uses stock maf sensor pipe. I wish it came with a dry filter. Filter is big allows for a lot of air to come in. Seals off engine heat really good. I wish it came with T bolt clamps for the price like some do. The intake tube is thin aluminum but is covered by heat barrier paint. Some intake kits that have thicker plastic may be better at repelling heat. Probably going to have to wrap with header wrap in the summer just to help keep intake temperatures down. The airbox is insulated with some reflective heat pad on the inside. Really good tight fit around the filter end through the box with a gasket to keep heat out. Takes a minute to get the right fitment and angle out of the silicone tubes and the aluminum tube but overall pretty simple. I like that the filter angles down inside the box for better air contact. Now I just need to come up with an air duct to feed more air in from the bottom. I like the lid with the see-through lens and easy to remove and put back with 3/4 turn Allen bolts with Springs.

Put this intake on my 2008 Cadillac Escalade ext. The initial quality and in box was great. As I was installing the piping everything went fine but when I came to the air filter box I had many problems. The box would not just line up straight and seemed kind of bent almost. I ended up having to drill holes and mount it myself. Took three hours more than it should’ve. On a positive note, The intake looks and sounds AWESOME. It may be just the sound but I definitely feel like it has more get up and go. So in conclusion the quality is great but the fitment (for me) was unsatisfactory.
