A beautiful story about resilience, hope and second chances
More than Words by @miasheridanauthor ❤️❤️I’d bought this off a few reviews on IG and it did not disappoint!More than Words is a beautiful story of resilience, hope and the power of second chances.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶Callen and Jessica are characters you can love and get so frustrated at. But they’re beautiful together.✔️ childhood friends to strangers to lovers✔️ second chance✔️ tragic hero✔️ reformed playboyGod, this book 🤍 Of all the books I read, I’m always more invested in stories that feature characters that experience tragic or tough upbringings. More than Words uses this in a memorable and stunningly written narrative.Callen and Jessica were once friends. Creating their own fairytale stories as an escape from their homes, they become best friends… and their feelings for each other develop. Then, Callen leaves.Years later, Callen is now a critically acclaimed music composer writing scores for movies.Jessica is a French translator with a passion for history. When fate gives Jessica and Callen a chance to finally reconnect after years, their personal demons are a barrier. This book offers a unique insight into the challenges and tragic impacts of emotional and mental abuse, as well as the emotional burdens that it leaves on the human psyche. This has been Callen’s biggest demon in his life that he has fallen in to.Mia Sheridan is a phenomenal author and this book is just one example of her captivating stories.

childhood friends
I’m a big fan of Mia’s writing and she’s a master of making me cry. This book had one element that almost made me stop reading, if you want spoilers they are in other reviews. But I’m glad I kept going because the story is really good.

Left me without words.
Holy Mother of all the book! I literally fell in love with their story. Usually, I am not the one who is a fan when the protagonist is a rock star but Callen Haynes is one of a kind. The story revolves around the quest to find true love, a second chance romance and childhood loves who finally reunite. The story made my heart flutter and ache throughout. The book is uniquely Mia and it just made me feel achy all over while writing this review. I absolutely loved the fact that Mia did not create the characters flawless, rather I echoed with each of their flaws and at the end of the day it made them resonate in me. Though I disliked the fact that Callen is a whore because he was trying to find the music trapped that refused to get out and ultimately girls and alcohol was his resort to numbing the invisible pain. And thus I feel that it wasn't doing justice to Jessie, who despite the pain in her own journey could remain faithful. I love how she is so easily able to get into the head of both the characters and exactly do justice to both the characters. Their thoughts, their emotions and their actions are clearly expressed and you can get lost into their head as a reader. I especially loved the childhood pf Jessie and Callen where Jessie was always the warrior princess here to save her sad prince. The conclusion of the story leaves a reader satisfied but also wanting to know more.
