When it matters most choose frontline gold

I had been using Frontline Plus for years and received Gold samples from my vet. The Gold works just as well if not better than Plus, both excellent products. Also I much prefer the newer Gold dispenser method. My dogs are active and using the crack open Plus dispenser was always a challenge often leaving me with product on my hand and wishing for a third arm. The Gold self-puncture tube is a very quick one hand application. I have seen other reviews complaining that the tube is not see thru like the old style to view empty. To dispense I simply squeeze the Gold tube two or three times between my thumb and finger until I can feel I am pushing air. Then I know it is empty and dispensed complete. No need to see anything. No muss no fuss. Bought more from Amazon and am very pleased with the product.

Great product that we have used for a long time.

I have used Frontline Plus for years and never had a problem with ticks or fleas and so far the same with Gold (only used it for 2 months so far). However I do not like the applicator. The way to open it is inconvenient and because the tube is not see through it is hard to tell that the liquid is actually flowing. Also hard to tell that it is empty once done. I had a problem the first time because the tube did not open properly and I did not know it until I opened the second tube and realized there was a difference in how they felt after I finished. I went back and opened the first tube again and that time it worked. I wish the tube was clear.

Great product. Same product less money value then most purchase places.

Frontline has kept my dogs flea free for years. Because I use it prophylactically, They haven't ever had fleas, and the ticks (endemic) do fall off dead (any we miss after a hike, that is). I think I prefer the dispersal method on original Frontline, to the Gold.

Think potency lost.
