Wobbly!
The media could not be loaded. Didn’t even bother to fill it and try boiling water. Just seeing how wobbly it is on its base was enough for me. It’s going straight back!

Love this!
Update 8/03/2022 - unfortunately the new one rusted too and i wasn't offered a refund but told to maintain it better.Since then i have bought a Russell Hobbs glass kettle and so far no rust. It's been a month or so. I did wonder if it was a glass kettle problem. Thankfully not. Based on the above I would no longer recommend this kettle.Update 03/11/21 - Cosori customer service were brilliant. I sent them the pics of the kettle and within 2 days they sent me a replacement. Still love the kettle and even more so now with the great customer service I received. I will update you all again once I have used the replacement for a couple of months .. fingers crossed.Update: I bought this is at the end of June 21 and its now end of October. I am consistently seeing rust develop underneath the glass. Really dissapointing as I can't remove it unless i pull the kettle apart. It wouldn't bother me so much if it didn't leave brown marks all over the outside of the kettle after it boiled so something is not right there. Still really love it though and have contacted the Cosori hoping they will replace it.I have to say this is probably the best kettle I have ever purchased. It is soooooo easy to clean because you can actually see where the cleaning is required.Yes it gets limescale but so do all kettles. One reviewer (sorry can't remember the name) left an excellent tip to leave lemon juice over the limscale for a while and then wash out. Works a treat thank you for the tip.It is a bit on the large side but that does not take away the efficiency and how good it still looks on the counter. One of my greatest buys this year.

THIS KETTLE BLEW UP.
I'm shaking as I write this but I couldn't not. I've used this kettle 5 times in about 3 days. This time it blew up. A piece of it pinged off into me as I was pouring it into my hot water bottle. Consequently spilling its entire contents down me. I've just finished rinsing myself down with cold water but am very aware that I'm about to come up with blisters. I'm in agony and I'm quite upset. Im sure ive received a dodgy unit but I would be quite aware that this CAN happen.Updated review with pictures of the burn. Doesnt seem to be any way of reaching the company without starting a return. I wont be returning this kettle as that's a lot of hassle for a thing that has injured me.

Awful quality buy a brand you can trust
Looks nice but is actually really low quality. Had for a few weeks the button has gone on it already. Looking closely the button works by a small plastic rod under the kettle dropping the kettle further into the stand to turn it on. It is already stiff and no longer works. In theory if this tiny piece of plastic breaks your kettle would automatically start to boil. This is actually dangerous and i am surprised this technique of the kettle turning on passes electrical standards in the uk. Maybe it doesn't. Refund is made difficult as you need to print a lable off and then find the correct drop off point to post back. I have ended up throwing in the bin and losing my money. I can only assume the reviews on amazon are faked by customers getting this product for free if they receive good reviews. I dont normally leave reviews on here but i worry for anyone buying this. You will find more quality on a tesco value kettle.

Falling to bits
Five weeks old and a plastic part has broken lose and fallen out of the base of the kettle. Given that this is an electrical items it cannot now be considered safe to use. Also I cannot now return to Amazon (from whom I bought it, so as I understand British consumer, Amamzon are responsible for any fault) so left with a so-called 2-year warranty from an American company. The kettle also drips boiling water from the spout just as it is about to pour.

Rubbish.. keep turning off! Going in the bin went to sainsbury for another that works..
Waste of money. I should of stuck to a brand that is tried and tested won't make that mistake again..

Functional but will it last?
I bought this to replace another glass kettle i bought a couple of years ago which broke recently (the plastic which connected the top to the body of the kettle broke for no real reason). I think the old kettle was also an Amazon choice. In comparison, this one is physically bigger but actually has a smaller capacity (1.5L compared with 1.7L). It is a higher wattage - 3000 vs 2200 (?) - so it boils the water faster. The new kettle feels lower quality than the old kettle - this was mainly from the switch - the old kettle had a switch which had a solid and definite click but the switch of the new kettle doesn't have the same comforting click. Instead I usually have to press it a couple of times before there is a click and when there is click it doesn't feel solid and secure and gives me the impression that it is not going to last...

Great Kettle
I was pondering with the idea of buying an expensive kettle because I was sick of buying cheap one's & they only lasting a few months. When I saw this one I was surprised on how 'expensive' it looked but how cheap it was so I thought I'd take the chance. I'm not sorry.Quick boiling & one great thing I found out (but can't remember if it was in the product information) is if you try to open the lid for about five minutes or so after boiling it won't open.Brilliant safety feature.
