Not perfect, but worth the money
As far as I can tell this is identical to the Teslong USB microscope (The Windows driver identifies the scope as Teslong). The Short Version:This scope is definitely worth the money, but it has a couple of flaws that could be deal breakers depending on how you want to use it. If what you want is a really powerful magnifying glass that lets you take pictures, you'll be happy. If you really want a 200x optical microscope for looking at various microorganisms, you'll be disappointed. The Long Version:The Bad:1) My biggest complaint with this scope is the focus knob. The focus knob is part of the microscope body, which means that twisting the knob makes the camera lens wobble even if you have the microscope base tightened down as much as possible. This makes it extremely difficult to make fine focus adjustments, particularly at higher magnifications.2) The lights around the camera lens make it nearly impossible to get good pictures of glossy material due to the reflections. I can't really blame the scope for this problem since it's due to physics--if the light source and the camera are very close together, you are going to have a lot of reflections and backscatter. The easiest solution is to use a separate light source, like a small flashlight.3) Even though the scope is waterproof, it is almost useless underwater. The problem is that the camera lens is recessed into the barrel of the microscope by several millimeters. Thus, whenever you submerge the scope, you trap an air bubble against the lens that completely distorts your view. You can get rid of the bubble if you work at it, but it is difficult.4) I question the claim of 200x magnification. This is not a replacement for a conventional 200x microscope (but it's still impressive). The Good:1) Since this is basically just a webcam you can plug it into practically any phone, computer, or tablet and it works flawlessly.2) The combination standard/micro USB plug is genius.3) The picture quality is excellent4) The integrated lights are handy for tight spaces (just don't expect beautiful pictures)

Good fun for kids or adults
The media could not be loaded. Kindly given to me to review I wasn't really sure what to expect from this little USB microscope. What I got was a whole load of geeking out as being able to see things close up!In the box you get the microscope, a small stand, various adapters and a user guide. The stand holds the microscope in place and makes it much easy to see items clearly, you can see in the video when I held the microscope the slightest movement was massively magnified. The microscope has LED lights around the camera and the brightness can be adjusted via an inline control. You change the focus by twisting the end cap and in a brilliant bit of design the USB plug can be used with both PC and mobiles. You get the same sort of functionality on both PC and mobile: a real time view and the ability to take photos and videos.I'm going to experiment further with the photo option as it should allow for some really interesting shots you can't get with a mobile.Really cool bit of kit, as a kid I'd have loved this...as an adult I still love it, I just don't have the school holidays off to play with it!

Much nicer than others I used.
This scope is much better in my experience than some of the girthier but not as long scopes sold on Amazon. The other I used didn't have a true zoom over the listed range but had few large steps and also used its focus to simulate magnification. This is more user friendly and higher resolution then the other. It is made of metal, which I like, and is easier to adjust in its included mount. Everything about its system is sturdier. It can also be used to other, maybe odd, jobs. This will fit into most firearms barrels (be careful to not scratch the rifling or the muzzle crown) to check for rust fouling or pitting. It can be used as a scope to check ears or nostrils or other orifices (if you're daring and don't mind using disinfectant afterwards). It does have an adjustable light. Overall much nicer than my previous experiences with small digital microscopes.

Very cool gadget
I bought this just because it looked cool. I have absolutely no use for it. BUT, IT REALLY IS VERY COOL. I have a young daughter who is into science and stem, so I am always looking for ways to encourage her interests, and I bought her a different computer microscope for her laptop, which worked pretty well. I saw this one, and the specs were pretty impressive for the price, and the design is simply beautiful. It really looks nice on the desk.It works really well, though. The magnification and picture quality are very impressive. And, it is much more useful than I thought. It works great for any task that requires extreme detail work. Need to remove a tiny splinter? Much better than my reading glasses!

Not 200x, a nice toy, touchy light touchy focus
I did the math and the optical magnification goes from infinity down to 95x. I cannot get the item to focus at a higher magnification so it is definitely not a full 200x. at 95 x the field of view is right about 1/16" The picture resolution is a low 0.3MP (640x480). resolution on phone was actually higher on my S5 at 1786x1005 or just less than 2MP. The light dial goes low and then suddenly off rather than dimming, a supplemental light will help in this case. I used a free microscope program at science4all(dot)NL... but the app worked on my phone, no frills there with the app.

Out of alignment
Got this camera for location alignment on my CNC Router. Picture quality and focus are good.BUT the lens was installed cockeyed. With the camera tube aligned perfectly vertical, The view point was almost an inch and a half off at six inches away. With all digital lenses you'd expect some drift, but not that much!Would I buy it again!? Hell NO!

Excellent scope for the price!
Other than a slight flickering (which may be the app) this microscope works very well. I am using it to inspect for insect pests on plants, and it does exactly what I bought it for.

Better than expected
Wow. Camera is better than I expected and I love the double usb connector, it's quite clever, albeit a bit hard to close and the LED dimmer along the usb cable is also a cool feature. Bought for smd board inspection. Works great. Got it hooked up to an iMac 27'' and I get very clear full screen picture. Instructions recommend using VLC. I tried it. Good picture, also full screen, the only downside (of VLC, not the camera) is that it doesn't allow me to watch and save to file at the same time, both work, but only one at a time. VLC also has a streaming function which I didn't try... So I fired up Quicktime, went to File > New Movie Recording, then if you click the tiny arrow next to the red button, you can select the camera, hit cmd+F to go fullscreen, then hit the red button to start recording. I took a few print screens and uploaded to this review. The android app isn't that great, but it works for a quick inspection on the go.

Good Microscope Poor App
Received this today to use with my job as a coffee machine engineer. I want to be able to look inside coffee machine boilers and see how much limescale build up has occurred and the condition of the element and tank etc. When you open the box there are two Q codes to scan, one takes you to the Google version of the app and the other the manufacturer. The manufacturer one opened up Pronett on my phone which is an app I use for when I visit Nando's to do work there !! Not sure what is going on there lol !! The other one installs, opens and then asks for permission to change a setting but it doesn't actually take you to the setting so you are then messing around trying to work out where the app is , I gave up in the end. Instead of saying Yes I just hit cancel and then had the option to tap on the microscope usb picture to open the camera app or another gadget made by the company, I tapped on the usb microscope picture and the camera app started to work , it shows a camera symbol, a video camera symbol as you can according to the instructions record what you are looking at , to do this I think you have to find the setting to allow permission and/or install VLC for android....I haven't tried this yet as I think it's going to take some searching and working out. If you tap the cog symbol which is the settings function you can change the resolution from 640x480 to 1280x720 , the little led's on the end of the microscope light up, there is a little wheel inline on the cord which allows you to dim and brighten the led's and at the top of the microscope there is a focus wheel which works quite well, I was looking at my keyboard and could see all kinds of dust and unmentionables very clearly !! I tried it in a glass of water with an object in the glass and it showed the object clearly too, also cooled down the end of the microscope which gets fairly warm. Be careful if you decide to check out your nostrils, mouth or inside your ears , it gets hot !!I haven't tried it yet for work but will be shortly but from my little play today and seeing how clear the images are I think I can safely say this works just fine and I will be keeping it. I've knocked off a star because the app is poor and the instructions are not the best. It does work ok though and for the money, not bad value really. Thanks for reading I hope this review helps !!PS...forgot to say, I connected this to my Motorola G5 android phone.EDIT: Ok, I figured out how to set permissions when you click on YES to allowing camera to access storage permissions on my Motorola G5 Android phone, go into SETTINGS, then APPS, scroll until you find HASFRAME CAMERA and open, scroll down to permissions and open, slide greyed out sliders on right to green and your phone will allow photo , video and microphone storage or just select the ones you want, exit and try the app , you shouldn't get the box pop up now asking to access your phone and you can now take photos of what you are looking at or videos. Shame the app doesn't set these on for you though when you say YES. Hope this helps,

Get it, well worth it.
Why 4 stars. There's a line in the command to save pics that directs it to a file that does not exists. If you can correct it your pics will save. Its easy to so just look in the text file supplied with the item and change the file path to what ever file you want your pics saved to. Bit of a pain in the bum.Besides that. Wow, for the price your getting an amazing bit of equipment. It managed to enlarge a micro crystal structure around .5mm in size and reproduce it in crystal clear clarity on a 32 inch monitor, filling the whole screen. This review is not so they can sell more its so amateur scientists can do some work at home without having to spend hundreds of pounds on a microscope. I love it, but you do need to fiddle about a little to get the best results.Little side note. the item does have to be at 90 degrees to the lens or the outer edges start to blur.

Doesn't work any longer Windows 10 newest app doesn't work either so it is no longer functional
This endoscope was purchased in Feb 2018. It worked well at first but gradually it became difficult to get the camera setting to detect it and now it is no longer detected when the USB is plugged in. I looked for advice and this is a wider issue related to Windows 10. I updated the newest app from the Teslong website and tried it with that but the endoscope was still not detected. It is no longer any use to me.

Génial ! Pour les petits et les grands curieux
The media could not be loaded.
