Buy the Mr. Heater hose accessory F273684 with this heater
This heater puts out a lot of heat even on low. I bought the above propane hose connector with regulators with the heater. This hose comes with the brass pipe connectors needed to connect the heater to the propane tank. The fittings are already speed taped so no need to buy special gas pipe thread dope or tape. Just assemble the regulators, hoses and brass fittings and you are good to go. I bought the 12 foot version of the hose and it took about one and a half minutes for gas to arrive at the pilot lite to start the heater the first time. So expect that the first time the heater is started. There is an automatic thermostat on the heater and it will cycle on and off automatically. Heater is almost silent when it is running. Also, the heater comes with hardware to mount it on the wall. Right now, I just have the heater sitting on the floor.

A Must buy... Great investment
Absolutely amazing!!! It's a much bigger area than what they state it will. Great source of heat and extremely efficient.

Something's not right.
Nice heater but why do all the burners come on at once on low, has 5 heat settings but it lights all 3 plates on low, shouldn't be that way and the info doesn't say that's how it works, I tried calling the company of the heater and no answer to my concern, I've had another heater with 2 plates that would light separately and this heater all 3 plates light at once on number 1 heat setting, something isn't right, get the proper info on how this heater is suppose to work and post it on the info about the heater in the description on your page, other than that it does put out the heat needed to heat the room.

Nice and toasty.
Easy set up after all the parts got here. To late for this year but I'm ready for next year. The kit fits this heater perfectly. Be sure to get a gauge to show how much propane you have left. Helps very very much. You won't run out on a very cold night.

You will be cozy
This is our 2nd one. Hight heat output. Clean burning. First one got broken. 2nd one has burned 120 gallons of gas, Total clean heater still looks like new.

Important Information About This Heater
First off, the Mr. Heater box arrived broken up, dented and ripped apart in several spots, however the actual unit was not damaged, amazingly! Be aware of several important factors before ordering this heater. 1. This heater is advertised as "vent free", but in the manual that comes with it, it explicitly states that several (or more) "fresh air vents" are required to use this heater! This is a big negative since bringing in cold outside air will defeat the whole purpose of running a heater. I want warm air inside, not cold air coming from outside vents! I would not have ordered this heater if it had stated this in the listing on Amazon. I would've just ordered electric heater(s) instead! 2. You will need to purchase many other parts/supplies to actually hook this heater up. I have a 500 gallon propane tank on my property and was hoping to attach this heater to a propane line coming from the tank, but it's not that simple. I will have to purchase a "secondary regulator" and lots of piping and special fittings, not to mention lots of expensive labor and a professional installation. 3. It also shows in the Amazon listing that this heater will heat up to 700 square feet, which is not accurate. The manual & box show calculations that you will have to work out, such as: "cubic feet" of space to be heated (not square feet), type of room, how well the space is insulated, etc. My calculations show that this 18,000 BTU heater is actually quite a bit larger than what I need for my space, unfortunately. It'll be weeks before I can actually get this thing up and running. There's an added expense of about $400 to the cost of the heater for all the extra parts and labor need to install this heater properly, not counting the outside air vents that will also need to be installed. I'm pretty disappointed in this purchase, but I guess I'll just try to make it work. The venting thing is the biggest disappointment for me. If I have to put in several outside air vents in my walls, what's the point? Having to bring cold outside air in from outside defeats the whole purpose of a heater, which is to actually heat the space, not make it cold with outside air. Calling this a "Vent Free" heater is false advertising in my opinion.
