Ashutosh Rana has hit it out of the park with this one. He is a brilliant actor and an able writer. Through the novel he has shown the command over the Hindi language, a strong satire in a colloquial way. He should write more.

जितने अच्छे कलाकार उतने ही अच्छे कलमकार। आशुतोष राणा जी ने इस पुस्तक में कमाल ही किया है। यदि कुछ पढ़ना है तो इसे पढ़ें। ऐसे सटीक व्यंग मिलेंगे वर्तमान पर कि आप सोचते रह जायेंगे कि इतनी साफगोई और ऐसी शिल्प से भी लिखा जा सकता है।!शानदार किताब, ज़रूर पढ़ें।

Hello,As per my reading experience, I didn't find the book very interesting.Although it tires to strike the philosophical, political and social chords but there was something, that was out of tune. The way the characters in the book were portrayed was not vivid to me. Like, if I read Harishankar Parsai or Shrilal Shukla, I can actually see all those characters while reading the book and I've never lived in a small town and have not been to the rural part of India.I gave this book a try as I really admire Ashutosh Rana's acting skills and maybe I'll read his other creations as well, but this one wasn't up to my expectation.To each his own.

If you don't have a sense of humor, don't buy this.Excellent language, very contemporary yet rich Hindi.Very real situations. If you are an observant Indian, you can see it happening around you everyday. especially if you happen to know northern India (read UP, MP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Haryana & Delhi).

आशुतोष जी जैसे व्यक्तित्व से जैसी आशा की जा सकती है बिल्कुल उसके अनुरूप। मैं तो वैसे भी उनकी हिंदी का कायल हूँ। एक तो शब्दावली और फिर व्यक्त करने का तरीका, चाहे वह चरित्र हो या घटना, पढ़ते हुए बिल्कुल ऐसा लगता है जैसे चौपाल पर बैठा कोई आमने आमने कहानी सुना रहा हो। यदि आपको हिन्दी पसंद है, हिंदी साहित्य को आप आनन्द लेकर पढ़ते हैं तो इस व्यंग संकलन का रसास्वादन अवश्य करें
