This works really well and it not just a fan - but is a tad noisy for trying to sleep through !
I have been putting off getting an aircon unit for years, but our house like many others becomes an oven at night and I become a grump without sleep ..... I bought this (and its not that cheap - and I am tight !) with high hopes and to be honest it has not let me down. Had it a few weeks now - so am happy to give my thoughts ! I am confused by people reviewing it negatively as 'just a fan' - does your aircon in the car or any meeting room etc go down any lower than 16 degrees? No - do you feel cooler in your car with aircon on - yes - same applies to this. It definitely cools the air - as it should. It is not just a fan. If you switch it to fan setting - then yes its just a fan but you need to choose the cooling option - the snowflake. that's the aircon setting. This is NOT an aircooler (passing air over water etc), it is a proper aircon unit. If i start the aircon running and close the door on my substantial sized bedroom apprx 13ft x 11ft it makes it massively cooler after a few minutes, if you leave it running for a good hour you'll walk in and feel chilly. If you want to cool a larger area it will take it down a degree or few - but won't have such a noticable impact until you go into another area of house house and its back to being suffocatingly hot! You'll realise then the work the aircon is putting in.... When you set it up initially the hose is a bit of a faff, and no its not that long sadly. Otherwise its really simple to use - the buttons are obvious (except for those who are only using it as a fan it seems). cons are that its pretty heavy I couldn't carry it upstairs (i am a bit of a petite lady though!) - it has castors but they don't run that well on carpet. Its kinda noisy - there's no way i'd sleep through it unfortunately ... if you like white noise you'll be fine. So it goes on to cool the room initially then i switch it off. The remote is simple and works as it should. Not tried Wifi as don't really need to use it tbh.

Netta AC Unit
Firstly, ๐๐ผ a moment of appreciation for the Amazon delivery guy who offered to haul this up to my first floor flat, coz it's HEAVY - I have a degenerative spinal condition & I couldn't even lift it off the ground. ๐ณ I'd spent hours trying to choose an AC unit within budget. My flat is top floor, south facing, with vaulted ceilings & no loft to absorb the heat, so every summer it turns into the 7th level of hell. ๐ฅต๐ฅต Finally, I settled on this one. Is it loud? Yes, but you get used to it. Could I sleep with it on? Yes. It's positioned maybe 1.5m from my bed & somehow feels quieter than the fan I have beside my bed. Does it do the job? Hmm...hard to say for sure, coz immediately after being delivered, we've had cooler weather. But it has helped with hot flashes. ๐ Was it easy to set up? Hmm...pretty much. If you don't include the fact that it's impossibly heavy & I had to move my entire living room around to appease it, coz it can't be too close to walls, have kinks in the pipe, etc. There are kinks in the pipe though, coz the pipe is only just long enough to reach the back of the unit to my window. Was it worth it? Well, I won't know for sure until summer fully hits & I reach peak sweaty hell in my flat. ๐ฅต๐ I'm hopeful though. ๐ค๐ผ So far the signs are good. What's the smart function like? I purchased it because it said it was compatible with Smart Life. I feel like that's a lie, coz I couldn't get Smart Life to find it. It has it's own app which has similar functions to the remote control but with the ability to use it from anywhere. The app doesn't automatically connect to Alexa like Smart Life does. You have to do it manually. But once it's synced with Alexa, it works well. Is it worth the price? Time will tell, we're not in the ridiculously uncomfortable part of summer yet. But it does feel like it will cope with it & I'm hopeful it'll help me kick my summertime Seasonal Affective Disorder. ๐ค๐ผ

Great for cooling front room
Works great for cooling our front room. Mainly bought as my dog was suffering in the heat and wanted to create a cool room for her to relax in. At times, it's worked so well I've had to turn it off as I've been too cold, despite the temperature outside being over 30 degrees! Also good as a fan for when you don't need the cooling function. It is a little loud but that's to be expected with an air conditioner. You can alter the fan speed and if you turn it down it does make it a little quieter.

This is excellent value for money!
This is excellent value for money and has worked extremely well. A little on the heavy side, easy to move as on wheels, cooling ability excellent, look is great, so easy to set up itself and on your phone. Waste capacity seen good although I have not needed to empty it as yet.

Noisy (not for night!) But AMAZING!oneself
Honestly my apartment in a heatwave in Britain got to 34ยฐ inside and the humidity was so high it was unbearable to the point I bailed far south to the coast to stay at my parents. This was getting annoying after 6yrs so we finally researched and invested in AC and OMG, difference is indescribable. One room only as my apartment is huge so my bedroom but just wow. It works incredibly! Main issue is fitting to many normal UK windows... After a series of failed trials. My Dad built a screen that you slot in place and boom its up and fully sealed, never moves! Perfection! The noise level is quite high tbh. I fall asleep to music or an audiobook but the AC is just a little too loud. But honestly it keep the room fully cool in a heatwave so well you don't need it on at all!

Money well spent
This unit works fairly well in my small flat (25 square metres living area). It's not as loud as I was expecting based on other reviews (people don't seem to know how air con works and expect a whisper-quiet compressor in their room!). What the ad doesn't tell you is that it's 800-900 watts of power usage when it's cooling, so for running costs you should assume it's about the same as one unit of energy (which for me is about 28p per kWh, so it costs about 25p an hour to run on full blast). Pros: + Power cord is a decent length. + Venting pipe is a decent length, rigid, and seems to be high quality. + Shorter than many other models I've used. + Came with batteries for the remote (ad says not included). Cons: - It comes with the WORLD'S SHORTEST DRAIN HOSE (60 cm); I have to have it drain into a bowl for now until I can make it to a hardware store to get something that will reach to balcony door. The hose also came folded in half so there is a permanent kink in it that makes it awkward to position too. - I had some difficulty connecting the app, as my router had BOTH 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz enabled; it would not connect until I disabled the 5 GHz option. - Doesn't come with anything for your window or door for the vent hose. - The price went up ยฃ50 from when I purchased it in the afternoon to when I checked back later that evening to second-guess my purchase. Overall this is a nice unit. I only rated it 4/5 because of the ridiculously short drain hose.

Makes a fair bit of noise but most important does not work very well expecting more from it

Excellent little unit
I brought this small unit for ease of my wife moving it around, this has far surpassed my expectations, cooling a room far larger than it's capacity should allow, downside causing me to fall asleep on the sofa when I have other things to be doing.
