I bought a fair selection of mylar bags a few months ago and am now reordering these because I liked them the best of the bunch. Initially I was sure the supplied sizes would be too small, but as it turns out they're pretty spot on for my needs.These features are the features I liked the most: stand-up pouch holds significantly more than non-pouched bags and is easier to fill; ziplock feature is pretty useful once the bag has been opened for use; there are the little tear notches for ripping the sealed top off the bag above the ziplock; the ziplock bump makes it much easier to consistently line up the top of each bag in the same place when putting it on the heat sealer; I consider the current price per bag is to be quite a good value for the feature set.The two cons I've noticed: they crease easily, but this seems to inherent in all the thick mylar bags I bought; and both the bag's ziplock and pouch need manipulation (opened/expanded, respectively) before filling.

I do a lot of long-term storage food prep, and these bags are ideal. I like the assortment as well as the value. The bags work nicely with my generic food saver device. Testing the integrity of these mylar bags for long-term use is unknown, since I've only been using them for only a couple of years. So far so good. I've taken a couple of items out of inventory and found the quality as fresh as when I bagged originally.

Exactly what I wanted but got to my home two weeks after arriving in island.

I bought these bags 6 months ago to use for long term food storage. The description says 7.9 mils thick, but that is for both sides combined, each side is only 3.9 mils thick. I just finished my 6 month check on my stores, and these bags are already becoming transparent to the contents in side. I wasted hundreds of dollars on food that was stored in these bags. DO NOT BUY THESE PIECES OF.......

I attempted used these bags for backpacking. I make my own freeze dried and dehydrated meals. My first time using these bags there was holes in them and leaked out all my water. Not suitable for food storage. I returned the remaining bags.

Love the size variety and the labels.

These mylar bags are better than the other brand of bags that I purchased at my local store. The bags themselves are pretty thick. The ziplock helps to get most of the air out of the bag & hold the bag closed while you use your hands to seal the bag. The seal was strong & I'm confident the bags will not break open. There were no holes in my bags as another reviewer posted.
