Really love the series
Really love the series, I just wish it didn't take so long between volumes. I'd also love to have more of the anime than what there is.

Great start to a new arc
The follow up to the previous volume with the return of memories of ash and the princess. Another student council member appears, the VP and a new conflict appears. Great book all around.

Reverse Course!
Does anyone else feel like this volume took especially long to get published in English, or is it just me?Anyway, volume 10 of the sexy dragon riding girls with panties so small you'll be wondering if they're wearing anything under their short skirts at all--and I think there's a guy in this story too ;-)--is finally here and...and honestly, it feels like the story has thrown itself into a hard reverse. Allow me to explain. When we last left our band of sexy ladies and the underdog that they've all fallen for, Ash, Eco, and Sylvia had ventured into the Holy Forest in order to meet The Mother Dragon. Many questions were answered, none of which were any real shockers. Surprise! The strange boy that helped Sylvia get her dragon all those years ago was Ash. Surprise again, both Ash and Sylvia had their memories erased of the exact event because amnesia storyline of childhood friends is a brand new idea. Third surprise, Eco can have human children! The reason behind this is because the Dragon race is in trouble. It's dying out, and Eco is a last-ditch effort to save it. That was really the only thing that was truly shocking from the last volume. Not even Sylvia's love confession--which come on, if you've been following this story, you knew was coming--hit with much surprise. But that all happened in the previous volume. I'm just giving you a catch up in case you need a refresher before we head into volume 10. So here we go.The story opens with a shot of our newest pretty girl's butt, dressed in the now-familiar Maid outfit. Her name is revealed to be Celestina, and she is speaking with a young man named Oscar Brailsford and his dragon, Tristan. If any of you have a REALLY good memory, that name might mean something to you. If not, at the very least you'll be able to tell that Oscar is going to be our new villain, and he's scum. Like, the worst type, which we'll get into in a bit.Cut to Ash and company back in the house they're staying in. Eco has taken to hiding in the Workshop because she's jealous of Sylvia stealing a kiss. Ash thinks out loud that he wants to kiss Eco as well, and Rebecca overhears him. She says that if he feels that way, he should just do it--after she holds him to her ample chest to make him feel better, because fan service.Lucca and Jessica then break into Ash's room, trying to win his affection with gifts, and the whole thing comes to a head with Rebecca yelling at the girls to rein it in a bit. The special 500th year Dragonar Academy Celebration is happening this year, and the Student Council needs to prepare for it. As such, Rebecca had gotten permission to reopen Julius Hall, named after Sylvia's brother, and it will now serve as the Student Council's home base. But first, it needs to be cleaned. The cleaning again results in all the girls fighting for Ash's affection, until Rebecca kicks them out so she and Ash can clean alone. This is where the story diverges. Rebecca and Ash spend time cleaning, talking about Ash becoming the new President when Rebecca graduates--and they both have to strip because they get soaked, and Rebecca has some killer curves, as we already know.Meanwhile, Eco begins getting a worrying sensation, and then Oscar shows up, asking (read:demanding) Eco to be his steed instead of Ash's. Sylvia and Lucca are not having it, summoning their own dragons. Oscar seems excited about this, and Eco keeps sensing that something is wrong with Tristan, Oscar's Dragon. This is kind of where the story feels like it begins to slip. Oscar views all the girls as beneath him, and he does it in a way that most anime/manga fans will instantly recognize. He beats the snot out of Lucca, Jessica, and Sylvia, and when Rebecca and Ash arrive, Oscar said that they agreed to it, saying they wanted to "play" and that it wasn't his fault "if they couldn't measure up". Things get even worse when he challenges Rebecca to a duel, saying that once he defeats her, he'll claim her as his Queen. Yes, Rebecca agreed to it long ago, but the way Oscar keeps going on and on about how Rebecca and Eco aren't really people, but trophies--things--to be claimed for his own benefit just oozes sleaze. And then the gut punch comes. Cosette--having saved Eco from Celestina and easily beating her, terrifying Eco in the process--explains to Ash that Oscar is the Student Council VICE PRESIDENT. Think about that for a second: this wretch of a kid, who sees girls as something to be conquered and claimed, is the second-most powerful student officer in the whole school. He hardly shows up to class, refuses to participate when he does, and basically does nothing to fulfill his duties. But because he's so good at being a Dragonar, he's allowed to get away with it. He is that arrogant athlete from high school or college that the rest of us constantly complained about how he got special treatment. It's then revealed that he is the ONLY Dragonar Knight from his homeland, and how he's going to be king because of it. This makes me question the wisdom of The Mother Dragon. What was she thinking giving this scumbag a dragon? Especially when it seems like Oscar has twisted his dragon with dark magic?Thankfully, Ash jumps into the fight and easily bests Oscar with a single move, but instead of thrashing him--remember, Lucca, Jessica, and Sylvia and currently laying unconscious, stripped almost naked, beneath him--Ash LETS HIM GO. Ugh. At least punch him in his face, Ash!So that's the missing star. This story feels like it should have come MUCH sooner in the overall story. We have been dealing with the Imperial powers slowly plotting to take over the world, steal Eco, and Julius' plot to accomplish...whatever it is he and his dark dragon are trying to do (it's been a while, so I can't quite remember). We just had a volume answering questions about our characters' pasts. We were moving forward with the story, and now we're suddenly thrown back into petty high school drama. Oscar and his storyline should have been dealt with toward the beginning of this series, thus helping Ash establish himself in front of the student body a bit so that his role on the Council feels earned. Oscar should have shown up then, protesting that such a weakling has no place, and all that.Allow me to use an example from another series like this one: Oscar is like Lord Riser from High School DXD. Both lust after a powerful redhead on the other team, both only view females as tools or trophies, both challenge the females to duels and say the females will belong to them if they win, and both think they are superior to everyone else. Now, image how annoyed you would be if Lord Riser and his storyline popped up in High School DXD in the middle of the war with Loki and his chaos faction? THAT is what this story feels like, and it bugs me enough to take off a star.Bottom line: If you've stuck with this series this far, odds are you're in for the long hall. We still have plenty of fan service, we still have dragons and their knights fighting in epic battles, and every girl is basically tripping over themselves to land Ash (except the only one that matters, Cosette. That's right, she's my favorite). It's just that the start of this story--and trust me, this is just the start, we will be seeing Oscar in the next few books as the villain--feels like it doesn't belong here. This is something that should have been dealt with much sooner. Probably not right at the start of the series, but certainly before the events of The Mother Dragon, and probably even before Eco was forced to transform into a raging beast a few volumes ago.

good manga wished the anime would have followed the manga ...
good manga wished the anime would have followed the manga more closely. the people who wrote and drew this are preverts and should do some time in prision their child __________. I think the guys who wrote and drew this manga series should be locked up in prision for the rest of their lives. I feel the same way about Hentai NTR that the people who make them should be locked up for the rest of their lives and throw away the key to their cells.

This New Story Is Just Not As Good As the Last One
Right now the story is going into a direction I don't know how to interpret. The main, world-threatening menace of Mordred is over, though it was implied he/she/it might be back. And the mysteries of the reason for the human form of Eco, as well as of the connection between Ash Blake and Sylvia Lautramont, are revealed. So on we go to a new story. Okay.Except this new story is about some self-entitled jackass of a prince who feels he will prove his worth to be king by doing all sorts of fun stuff like going beyond winning a challenge to seriously hurting other dragons and their riders, trying to force a woman to marry him, trying to have Eco assaulted and kidnapped, trying to assault Ash, so on.I'm gonna be honest, this new character, Oscar, is one I am just not reacting well to as a villain or any other way. If he is a villain, he is just much pettier and not nearly as grand in scope as Mordred was. I mean, he does have a similar desire to Mordred to consolidate his power, but while Mordred's is due to some idea of his race's superiority over humans, Oscar's is just because he is special, dammit! Mordred is clearly more evil, but Oscar is more petty and vile. And that is if he really *is* supposed to be evil. If he is supposed to be good and just misunderstood, then I will just not be able to wrap my mind around this concept. He did assault and things very close to rape or pushing rape, rapey stuff, so on. If he is just misunderstood, then this story-line will be even worse. I won't be empathetic no matter how hard they push it.I actually enjoyed the action and such in this volume, but the story itself as a plot leaves something lacking. It is only for the enjoyment I got and my liking of these characters, that I don't completely rate this manga volume badly and gave it a somewhat good mark. The art is like always very detailed and uber-fan servicey, so no real surprises there. It's either good or bad according to your preferences.Hey, maybe I'm wrong, and this will lead to an awesome story, but so far the action, characters, character development, so on, are what are good here and the progressing story, unless or until we have some improvements therein, leave me wanting.Note: I have read online enough to know some other facts and... nope, still don't like the story or Oscar. At all.Rating: 3/5 Stars.
