Smells Okay, Creamy, Smoothing, Curl Defining, Has Good Slip
I have type 4 hair. Scent is the same but lighter. Smells like syrup, and I never had a big problem with it. The mousse is very good. Idk if there was a formula change or what, but it appears to have more slip, it's more smoothing, and feels very moisturizing when applied to the hair. It is very curl defining too, and you only need 1 pump per section, sometimes less, but it was like that before, a little really goes a long way with this. I feel like it gives less volume than it did before on the first day, but I think I used to use more water. And it does have good volume on the second day. So if you want more volume, definitely use more water. It's a very moisturizing product, but it always has been. What I noticed most is that the application is smoother, feels creamier (coats hair better), and has better slip. I've seen people say in the past that it doesn't have enough hold, but I think that may be because they're not using a shampoo and conditioner/deep conditioner with a good moisture protein balance. This isn't gonna give you a hard gel cast, but if you like soft fluffy curl definition, it definitely gives that.

Like it a lot
Good mousse. It delivers hold, shine and nourishment without being heavy at all. Smells like honey or maple syrup, the scent is strong but I don't dislike it at all. If you're sensitive to fragance maybe this is not the best option, but it gives a lot of volume, shiny and bouncy curls.

#1 Mousse for my hair
I love mousse and I postponed trying this mousse for a long time. As much as I liked the others my hair always became dry and crispy within days. This mousse retains moisture and texture in the way my hair type needs. It's heavy but I have thick coarse porous 4c hair which absorbs moisture quickly. This is the only mousse that texturizes/defines and holds moisture for at least 4 days. I use it in conjunction with another curl enhancing mousse with lighter moisture but has more hold first and then top with the Spiked Honey. The combo is the best for me for it's last effects. I use it for twists and it's this combo that has staying power and no need to re-twist immediately. Probably not best for fine hair, but you never know.

Itโs quite sticky
The moose feels light but itโs quite sticky. I used it to do my twists, and it took too long to dry. I also had a hard time undoing my hair, it makes the hair stiff. I will try and dilute it, to reduce the stickiness.

Decent styling mousse for natural hair
I saw this product featured on the Sherri Shepherd show, I was anxious to try it. I've been natural for about 10 years and I'm always looking for new products for black women's natural hair, I wasn't completely impressed but also not completely disappointed. I like how I could use it for my 2 strand twists and how well it held them overnight. I also would use it to refresh my curls on days I didn't retwist it, but once it fully dried, I felt like the style looked more like an afro, which I don't like for myself.

Smells like brown sugar
This smells so delicious! Like buttered brown sugar ๐ I love using this on my curls after a wash or a refresh. It's foamy and thickens my hair up when it looks thin.
