Best boots ever!
I LOVE these boots so much I purchased them in two different colors. I got the fawn from Dick’s Sporting Goods because I found them for much less elsewhere and Dick’s beat the price I found them for so I got them for $130 an awesome price. Unfortunately, the Quarry/black was sold out so I purchased them from Amazon. I was worried at first because of some of the reviews. But I believe that the ones I got from Amazon are not knock offs just have some slight imperfections. Its unfortunate how the straps/snaps have broken off of some reviewers boots I’m not sure if they were pulling them on by the straps or if they just got a defective pair. Also, the linings can be purchased from the Sorel website and can be easily replaced. I mean these boots are regularly priced at $199 and up so if you get for less from 3rd party on Amazon, you should expect some imperfections/defects but for the price on Amazon you can afford to replace liners easily. Also, when you take them off don’t kick them off with the other foot at the back heel cause you’re going to ruin them soon enough just pull them off with your hands and pull them up with the boot. I’m a size 8 and purchased an 8 and these boots fit perfectly. At first they were really hard to put on and take off but after several wears they were perfect. They keep my feet nice and warm even when I wear them without socks to walk the dog. I live in Chicago and North Dakota and they’ve stood up to the harsh cold weather and everyone loves them. I was worried about the fawn getting dirty but they’re waterproof and they still look awesome. I’ve received all kinds of compliments. They also look good with my Canada Wear Gear. I’m very happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend. I’m also coming back for a 3rd pair in camel soon but not sure if I’ll come back to Amazon as I don’t want to press my luck and end up with a defective pair that I’ll have to send back. Probably try Dick’s again where I have a return and satisfaction guaranteed. But Thanks Amazon and Sorel!!!!

Adorable and cool as heck!
First of all, I am a 42 year old Mom of 4 and have never paid so much for a pair of winter boots. I decided that I wanted something that would be functional AND fashionable. I wanted to be warm and dry, but look cool doing it. I purchased these in Black. LOVE the way they look! Fashionable, 5 stars! Yes, they are pretty clunky and at first I didn't think I was going to be able to keep them because they were so stiff they felt like ski boots. Definitely plan to break these in a little. As for clunky- they look MUCH more clunky from your vantage point looking down then they do from everyone else's vantage point. If you want warm boots that will keep you dry then get over it, you can't have them be skinny and make your feet look smaller and have all that. Here is where this review loses a star. They are not as warm as they claim to be. I live in Minnesota and we are having the winter from H--- this year. It has been very very cold. My toes start to freeze a lot more quickly then they should given the rating these get for keeping your feet warm. To be fair, almost everyone else everywhere else in the US probably will do just fine with these. In addition- I bought a size 10 and always wear a size 10.... but with these I cannot wear super thick warm socks because they are just too tight. I'm sure that would solve the cold toes issues, so after wearing these too many times to return them (because I still love them and if I'm not standing outside for 2 hours then they are perfectly warm enough) I have decided to buy an 11 and sell my 10's on Ebay. I'll probably make my money back that way since they are so popular. Oh, and I am about 40lbs overweight and don't have tiny calves, and I am able to fit these over all my pants, even jeans that are not tapered, just fine.Summary- these are awesome looking. Super super cute. They are pretty stiff and even after awhile remain so- be prepared. They are heavy and substantial and very well made, I'm guessing they will last a long long time. If you want to wear very thick socks or multiple pairs of socks go up at least 1/2 size. Be prepared to break them in. They are so stiff at first that I almost couldn't drive with them on, now they are fine.

SO glad I went with these, despite the negative reviews.
I'll be honest, the bad reviews had me nervous about choosing these for my 2 week winter trip to Iceland, but I never found any others that I liked better (and I looked through every Sorel boot and every other brand). I am SO glad I chose these. I got the black/stone color, with the non-fur trim. Not sure what kind of trim it was but it was warm and comfortable.I ordered my regular size, 8.5, and upon trying them on, I was worried they would be a little too tight. I didn't have time to return them, so I sucked it up and wore them. They definitely stretched out just enough to fit me PERFECTLY. I never once had issues putting these on and taking them off. I often had to remove them quickly to throw some snow pants over my leggings and it was easy as long as I untied them and loosened the strings all the way. There are a lot of comments about the snaps. These snaps ARE NOT meant for pulling on your boots and should not even need to be used for that. I can see how they would break off easily. My only complaint about them is that they just don't stay snapped, but it was never a big deal at all.I did sometimes get a digging feeling right above my ankles, but I think that had more to do with how my leggings and wool socks were layered. It was never bad enough to cause blisters or bleeding, as others have stated. I was able to wear thick wool socks and leg warmers over my leggings very comfortably. These boots were perfectly roomy for my "cankles" ;)They also don't weigh as much as I thought. I had no issues hiking up hillsides and climbing lots of stairs. You get used to the weight, but I also had the added weight of a huge parka anyway!Overall, I'm so happy I went with these boots. We did ending up trudging through A LOT of snow, and my feet were never cold or wet. I do want to note that these are not good on ice, but unless you have crampons, no boot will be, so just manage your expectations.I'm hoping for some more winter weather so I get a chance to wear these again!

Lovely Boots
I don't usually write a review, however I would like to recommend these boots - I love them! I suffer with Raynaud's Disease, and as a freelance photographer that can spend up to 10 hours in a day not moving a lot, I needed to find something to keep my feet warm.I would definitely recommend going up 1/2 a size if you intend on wearing thicker socks. The laces make putting on and doing up the boots really easy. I didn't need to wear them in, they were comfortable from the start, however if you intend on walking in them a lot you may want to wear them in first.I haven't worn them in extreme weather yet, but I did wear them for the whole day last weekend, when the wind was quite cold, and they kept my feet warm all day.Love these boots!

Too small expensive return postage
I’m a size 6 but size 6 (39) shoes were much too small.Had to send them back.£4 postage to receive them£13 postage to send them back.Make sure you go bigger so you done get stung with nearly £20 postage if they don’t fit.

LOVE. Best Buy Ever.
Have had these now for 5 months and worn very frequently. LOVE THEM. In fact, for the price I paid (just over £100) I have to say this is one of the best purchases I have ever made. They look absolutely awesome. Lovely and warm, but not overly so (even in mild UK Autumn weather). Absolutely excellent quality - cannot fault these all-round to be honest. They have an inner slip-on bootie, and these can be hand-washed separately. Chunky, but this is clear from photos/description - they ae snow-boots! But still find driving absolutely fine etc. Hate to recommend them so much as want to keep these as a secret to myself! Awesomely funky boots.

Too small and rather ugly
I bought these in my normal size (5UK (sometimes I will even wear a 4.5 UK). As other reviewers have said, these were difficult to get on (the tongue is fixed so even with the laces undone you can’t pull it out properly to get your foot in) and they were also too small. Not sure if I would need a whole extra size bigger or just a half size, but I couldn’t comfortably wear my regular size. They are also much uglier than I was hoping. The toe is very wide and flat. I may have forgiven them this if they hadn’t been too small and rather rigid.

Lovely warm boots.
I usually wear a size 6 and got these in 6.5 and they fit well. They took a few days to break in, I found them stiff on the ankle to start with but they are now very comfortable.I have worn them through muddy fields, on a wet beach at low tide and in pouring rain and I never had wet or cold feet. The only downside is that sometimes they make my socks fall off so I have to be selective which ones I wear.
