Health Sciences Literature Review Made Easy: The Matrix Method

The problem with researchers is they are bad at writing anything that is readable to the average person.The book refers to acronymns that are not explained for several paragraphs or pages after they appear the first time, a big NO-NO in APA format. Please adhere AT LEAST to the guidelines that students must write within.The book reads like a giant run-on sentence. If you want to really "make it easy" then make it more readable.You lost me at Figure 1-1, "NIH grants compared to number of publications" by:a) limiting the graph to the years 1945-1994b) admitting the values were not adjusted for inflation, andc) flippantly saying "just assume the trajectory" which is a big bad NO-NO in research - to assume.Why end these trend lines 26 years before the date of the publication? I'm buying a new book in 2020 that cites trends that are over 25 years old. Surely the past 25 years had relevant data to add?Please give me a book that truly makes this eases the painful process of evaluating research. Better organization of words, using tables, bullets, and better phrasing would be a good start.

This book is not laid out in a way that is easy to follow along or understand. There are many other books that will guide you through conducting a lit review.

The premise of the book is great and it’s written in a language that’s easy to understand, but the lack of visuals / demonstration of what all these folders within folders are suppose to look like makes this method confusing.
