Best ceiling fan I ever installed.
What I like. No out of balance shake at all! Completely quiet motor at all speeds. Install was super easy for 1 person. The ceiling mounting bracket installs first and it is designed to hold the motor in place with openings to finish the wiring. I've done other fans that have a cable to dangle the motor while connecting the wiring then stuff all the wires into the box while trying to screw the motor to ceiling. Takes a helper for that style. It came with standard base LED light bulbs which I really like. Not the candle type with tiny base. The light are bright and are a better than the old replaced model with 4 bulbs vs 3 bulbs now. I have separate switches for lights and fan. The bulbs dim to any level I choose. The fan switch is either on or off. I installed the fan pull chain to change fan speeds when needed. I did not install the long chain for the light because the wall switch will do that. One install tip. The main celling bracket will control which direction the Hunter logo on the fan will face. Had I know that I would have turned it 90 degrees so it would have faced the entrance to the room. Not a real big deal because the fan looks so good. The hardest part was the pre install of the rubber grommets into the fan blades. That took time and forcing them would crack the rubber. That didn't seem to matter once it was screwed to the arm but its something to be aware of. There is an extra grommet and screws should you loose or damage one. Not hard, just time consuming. I recommend this fan!

Huge value for the money
Arrived quicker than expected. Instructions were superb. Packaging was excellent and all small parts were logically separated according to assembly stages. Overall quality and design are impressive, especially at this price point. First I installed a fan-rated junction box from Home Depot for a safe mounting point to start with (you donโt want to take any shortcuts with a ceiling fan). Then, I took my time installing it to ensure quality results. Had the usual re-reads of the instructions at certain points where it seemed a little tricky (to be expected), but nothing an experienced DIYโer canโt cope with, and the documentation was accurate and got me through those areas. When I threw the switch for the first time I got some wobble on the high setting, but again took my time with the supplied balancing kit to ferret out where the stick-on weights would go, and now there is absolutely no wobble at all at any speed. The fan is super quiet and smooth โ such a huge upgrade over the very good freestanding fans weโve been used to. On the high-speed setting we can hear the air moving a bit, because itโs moving a substantial amount of air, but it is still very quiet. However, on the middle-speed setting it is dead quiet, while still moving an impressive amount of air. This is a bedroom install, so I doubt weโll go past the middle speed setting, which is absolutely perfect. On an added note, the fan blades were a pleasant surprise (white on one side and beech/maple wood print on the other). Thought the whole thing would be white, but opted for the wood print instead to accentuate the blades and break up the all-white look, and it went well with our Scandinavian furniture. The frosted light shades were a pleasant surprise, too. Not a bit gaudy, thankfully; the whole presentation would actually blend well with just about any decor โ not overly modern, but also not overly ornate. Now Iโm thinking of repeating this process for our two other bedrooms (offices), which get a lot of direct sun in the afternoon. Definitely opting for this exact same model. Just an excellent product for anyone who is up for installing it correctly. Thank you, Hunter, for producing such a well thought out product at a reasonable price.

Bought 3 - and I've not a bad thing to say about them.
I read a lot of reviews, some of which suggested a hum or other anomalous sound. I found this NOT to be the case. I bought 3 of them and mounted them in three different rooms. None of them make any extraneous noise. I also had read that the fan speed was not fast enough, or that there were other performance issues. Again, I found this NOT to be the case. All 3 of my fans perform flawlessly. One of my fans was missing one of the two pull chains that come out of the main unit (not the extension chain). I was very unhappy with Hunter's customer service, since after three calls, nobody ever answered the phone. I spent a long time on hold. The GOOD NEWS is, however, that I simply reported the problem to Amazon, who "overnight shipped" a replacement fan to me, and gave me the shipping label (and 30 days) to return the faulty unit. This, to me, made the problem a complete non-issue. Am I happy - you bet your bottom dollar I am. All fans were very easy to assemble (which, contrary to others who were miffed at this, I found to be a bit of a fun project). The instructions included several methods of electrical assembly, which worked nicely for me since I rent and want to take them with me when I move - so I was able to wire each of them to their own respective 16 gauge heavy duty extension cord and plug them into wall outlets. I'll spare you my other mounting details, since I'm sure very few buyers have the same chalet style exposed roof beams that I have, which allowed me to fabricate my own 4 screw mounting units. But, if you can find a way to contact me, I'll be happy to share my approach. I've attached a photo though, so you can see. Ignore the cord, since that was a sloppy mount to get them running. I've since used a spool of color coordinated 16 gauge wire to hide the cords along the ceiling contours. ;) Anyway - I highly recommend these fans. They are pretty - yet masculine in appearance, the lights are bright enough for my needs, and I'd make the purchase again in a second if I needed to.

We have 4 other Hunter Fans (different models) in the house, which we love. This one did not disappoint. Like all Hunter Fans, fitting the wires in is a very tight job, but certainly doable. The fan is ultra-quiet, and has a lovely appearance with a subtle design on the glass light covers. Our only issue is that the fan did not come with a safety cable. We knew of this only because of the other fans we installed. When contacting Hunter, we were told that while it is not a requirement in the US, it is mandatory in Canada and they recommended we contact Amazon directly. Looking at the company selling, it was listed Amazon.com.ca, so I'm thinking this was a model from the US that found its way to Amazon Canada, without the proper safety feature. In contacting Amazon, they were very helpful, and issued a partial refund for us to purchase the safety cable (we didn't want to return the fan, as we are very happy with it - just want it secured).
