Great book, it is written beautifully and it is packed with high quality pictures.

I once had a first edition of this but was forced to sell in the 07/08 Crash. Now I can afford to get back at least a secondhand version. I suspect this is a former library book but it has been well looked after. The condition is good, considering the age of the edition. This gives a grand sweep across his work with his own comments added. Only Dali could come up with an art book that looked like a box of chocolates! Not just an art book, but a work of art in itself. Essential for lovers of Dali and surrealism, even a secondhand version, it'll stand out on your book shelf. It is a classic by the master surrealist himself.

Taschen have once again created a product that is benefiting to anyone.Let me clarify that the Paperback is actually a soft cover with flaps, and is presented magnificently. Great size so that the pictures are clear enough for us to marvell at them.D not expect in-depth analysis of each painting, because that is not what this is. It is a detailed account of his timeline during his life, in which we are told why he chose to paint in certain styles at certain times, how it effected his life and the impact it had worldwide.

I like this book but I had expected more pictures of Dali's paintings. Still very worth while. Mrs JMM

I was very pleased when I received this, very good value at around the £5 region; which makes it a fantastic buy. It is a short read with loads of pics and fairly well written notes about the artist and his work. This book is a great way to be introduced to the great Dali.

I bought this when it was first published, and my copy is so used it is falling apart. Lovely to get a new copy that is in excellent condition.

wonderful photos as big and writing about each one. I bought the other one thinking it different book as cover different but it the same inside. check before yu buy. (I hope I have said it correct way round as it a gift so I have no more access to check.

I Love the artwork of Dali, so this book was a must. I have the original paperback and go back to it time and time again. The information on all his work is really well put together and interesting.
