(Piano Solo Songbook). Moving arrangements of 14 praise song favorites as interpreted by the inimitable Phillip Keveren, including: As the Deer * El Shaddai * Give Thanks * Great Is the Lord * How Beautiful * How Majestic Is Your Name * More Precious Than Silver * Oh Lord, You're Beautiful * Shine, Jesus, Shine * Shout to the Lord * Thy Word * and more. Review: Phillip Keveren's "Shout to the Lord" Piano Solo Book - Phillip Keveren's piano solo arrangements included in this 'Late Intermediate' ability level book are 14 contemporary worship songs. In addition to the title piece, "Shout to the Lord", other popular song arrangements are "Oh Lord, You're Beautiful" and "Shine, Jesus, Shine." Each song begins with a separate page with the words of the song and comments from the arranger. Knowing the words makes playing the arrangement easier and more meaningful. The arrangements vary in musical style: some include a compatible and familiar classical theme, one begins with a music box sound, another incorporates an old, well-known children's song. Mr. Keveren has used a Mozart setting for my favorite piece in this book, "Thy Word." All of the song arrangements in "Shout to the Lord" are pleasing to the ear, flow smoothly in transitions and are especially enjoyable to play. I highly recommend this piano solo book to provide delightful music for personal joy or to prepare for use in a church setting. Review: A delightful mash up of praise songs - My former college roommate is a professional pianist. He introduced this beautiful book of lovely, peaceful medleys of well-known Christian songs. I got one, so he can come and play them on our piano too.

A delightful mash up of praise songs
My former college roommate is a professional pianist. He introduced this beautiful book of lovely, peaceful medleys of well-known Christian songs. I got one, so he can come and play them on our piano too.

Another great Phillip Keveren book
I have six books by Phillip Keveren. I play for a church, and they are my most used offertory books. This one is not too difficult, but it isn't a cakewalk either.

Wonderful arrangements
This is a wonderful group of arrangements in a classical style. As a classically trained pianist I love this book. I love Phillip Keveren's arrangements. They are fresh and flow wonderfully. This is for an intermediate piano.

Great book, however a little more difficult than some of his other books, and not jazzy enough
After already owning two of his other songbooks, I wanted a songbook with more contemporary music and I thought that this book would be great. I do enjoy it, but I am a little disappointed because I thought that he wrote all jazz arrangements. This one is also a little more challenging on some pieces than any of his other arrangements that I have played.

Brilliant!
A brilliant book, wonderful piano versions. The only draw back was that the words weren't included on the manuscript, and sometimes these were difficult to fit. However a great book for any pianist.
