This magnet definitely has some grab to it! Accidentally caught a bridge support while magnet fishing :) Also caught a can of corn and a lost iPhone (amongst other things).

Im 223lbs in my underwear and can hang from this without issue. That said, I read the instructions and know how these magnets work. If you place a strong magnet against a weak metal surface, it will not hold as strong as if you place it against a thick ferrous metal surface. the weight rating is the MAXIMUM holding force the magnet can provide. for example.. if you stick this on a fridge, a car or a screwdriver.. you will most likely be able to pull it off by hand. If you place it against industrial steel shelving or an ibeam, you will need that screwdriver from before to apply diagonal force to the eyebolt in order to release the magnet, because pulling straight back will just lift you off the ground.watch your fingers too, this WILL crush them if theyre between it and thick (1/10"+) ferrous metal.

Our new magnet just arrived today so I am not reviewing that just to be clear. The scrapper andThe scraper were not included even though it says they would in the description. This will not stop us from having a great time magnet fishing so not a big deal but just wanted to make sure that you all could be more clear in the future.

If the metal is dry and u can stick it to hit u can hold about 5lbs but if it’s wet and in the water it will not even pick up a soda can and hold on it!!!DO NOT BUY AND SHOULD FILE A LAWSUIT FOR FAULSE ADVERTISING!!!!!!!!!!!
