I don't think it's very fair to review an item based on it's price and give it 1 star because you didn't want to pay that much. I paid $25 for this light because I wanted a decent light on my night stand as opposed to a plastic piece of junk. You get what you pay for, and if you want a nice looking night lamp, this is it. I wanted a little bit more light but was unable to find one this size that took a regular standard-size 15 watt light bulb.This is a beautiful night lamp, and I uploaded pictures of my lamp to give buyers a different view of it.The only thing I don't like is the way Amazon packs it products in its boxes. They just set it in the amazon box with no padding. I am very surprised it didn't arrive broken.Probably the most important thing you need to know about this lamp is it gets very hot. I just plugged it in and went to check on it 1o minutes later and felt it and was surprised that it felt extremely hot. This is concerning to me and this is why I did not give it 5 stars. If I find the heat is too much of a problem, I may send it back.Take a look at my customer image pictures.

Beautiful lamp, sent in memory of a friend's husband. It's as beautiful as it appeared on line.

This appears to be a lovely lamp. However, it was a nightmare to assemble. (Instructions really are needed.) Unfortunately, once it was assembled the light did not work. I tried several bulbs. The problem is in the cord assembly. I really want this lamp, but I am concerned that if I order a replacement, that won't work either.Update: I tried once more to get the lamp to work and it does! It is truly lovely. I increased the number of stars and I definitely recommend this light to others. Please be aware that is difficult to assemble and you may hurt yourself if you are not careful.

This much anticipated night light finally arrived. I was so excited. I unpacked it thinking I'd just have to plug it in. Unfortunately the manufacturer forgot to include any instructions on how to properly get the cord and light affixed inside the lamp. I've cut my right hand twice on the metal apparatus that holds the light bulb. I can't believe this! And to think I was going to buy more of these!!!!! I was extremely frustrated! On the brighter side, my son finally assembled it for me and it is indeed beautiful.However, I am a bit concerned over how warm the lamp is to touch. (This is "the next day" report): I turned the light on and left it on for several hours and then again checked the glass part of the lamp and it was WAY too hot to be left on unattended. So, I really cannot comfortably use this as a night light to be left on the entire night. It is, however, very decorative and I will just use it when I am nearby. The manufacturers should consider making it a device with a standard "screw in" light bulb base. The lamp I broke that this is replacing had that and when I put a 15 watt bulb in it barely even got warm; let alone 'hot.' I would happily pay a little more in price if it had a standard light bulb electrical device inside.

My mother's hummingbirds are like children to her. I was padding a order for mother's day and bought this thinking it was a flat on one side nightlight that sits flush against the wall. Well it is not but fully rounded. Also it looks a lot better in person that the pic. There is a quality feel to it and it looks great lit up in the dark. As others have said its a little bright for a dedicated solo night light but a dimmer on a extention they offer on Amazon works well. She uses it after the sun goes down for its looks and provides enough light before bed. Great little lamp.

I thought this would be a little bit bigger but it has turned out to be a great night light and it is decorative during the day. I have a little one that is not quite ready for all the lights to be off yet so having night lights throughout the house has been great.
