Good size and durable to provide the needed support
Great product that does what it's promised to do: reinforces the desk from Desk-free laptop mount. The unit comes with the instruction for a piece of mind. I like that it gives an option for white finish as I would be really disappointed to put black clamp on white desk. Also, I love that it's that big as many other products come with a half if not a third of the size, which would be hard to reinforce but work towards speeding up the breakage.

Simply works.
Not much to say about this, other than it is easy to install, and works well to distribute weight of the monitor mount.

Strong & stable, solid purchase
Bought for my mount supporting two 32-inch monitors. Over a year in, no signs of wear on the plates or the table.

Pretty good
I wish I got it sooner since parts of my table started to bend with a monitor arm. I was able to flatten it out with weights and wish I had just used the plate from day one. It worked well with the color of my desk. Only thing is I wish it was more clear which plate should be on the top or bottom depending on the table material. I also wish the holes that were drilled in the plate were optional or done in a more polished way that didn't affect the white color. But it's not that noticeable. Also with my mittzon desk plugin module plate, size wise it wasn't a perfect fit but very close.

Worth the purchase
I bought this after realizing that my new bamboo-top desk (which I'm enjoying) is indeed, much softer than the laminate-tops that can take some negligence and abuse. It does that job perfectly. I have a heavy monitor arm that's securely attached and has been adjusted from side to side a few times after moving rooms. It's held a WALI-brand clamp and another brand and style, and it does the job without ever leaving a scuff or dent. The reason it has four stars is that the metal edges aren't absolutely straight or smooth (but not in a way that scratches the desk, on mine) and on the white model I chose, the paint is a tiny bit discolored with small pink splotches. These aren't big enough snags or deviations to notice at a distance, so the uneven and unsmoothed cuts and corners are only going to matter if you're looking at it all day. Even I don't do this. I'm glad I have it, and it will outlast the desk and follow me to the next one.

Great way to distribute the weight across the surface of your desk for a monitor mount
I had a Costco Tresanti glass desk and wanted to mount a triple monitor mount to it. Of course with a glass top you would never consider doing something like this. In any case with this mounting bracket and some unfinished wood cubes 2 1/2 inch (also available on Amazon) I successfully mounted 3x27" monitors to the glass top desk and it was sturdy and never felt like it would cause any damage to the glass. Now if you happen to have a Costco Tresanti glass desk and want to do the same the 2.5" cubes are perfect to get around the metal frame of the desk. I did not use the bottom mounting bracket, just the cubes against the glass and the monitor mount screwed into the cubes. That being said a triple monitor mount on such a small desk was uncomfortable so I upgraded to a 63x30 desk here on Amazon and am using this same mounting bracket even though the other desk has a wooden top. It feels way more stable and secure with the mounting brackets (on the wooden top I am using both the top and bottm mounting plates). Otherwise I'm sure I'd see some weird indentations in my desk top, especially underneath where the tightening screws tighten into the desk.

Not for desk that's made of particle board
There was nothing wrong with the product. It is built solid, sturdy and easy to install. But I unfortunately had to return it. I found out that the desk I was using it for is made of particle board. Being that it seems a bit hefty, I had my doubts on whether or not it will bend the desk or worst break it over time. I already have a 32 inch screen on it, along with a monitor arm. I was afraid that adding this to the mix will do damage to the desk. If I had a different types of desk I would surely order this as I was impressed by it's built quality and ease on installation.
