Risk of death for 1-year-old
I want to preface this review with the fact that I was so excited to get this and I do not think it’s a bad product. I think it’s rated incorrectly for the age of appropriate use because of this specific design. We are a wooden toy family and a Pikler was on our baby’s first birthday list. We got the combo with the tent convertor because I thought that was such a cool feature. I also like that the angle is easily adjustable for one adult. The setup was pretty easy and unlike a few other reviews, I found the texture of the wood to be a good thing as texture prevents slipping and falls and smooth only heightens the likelihood that a slip and fall will happen. Unfortunately, while playing, my baby climbed underneath and stuck their head through the slats just high enough to hang from the neck weightless. As I was supervising, I was immediately able to pull the baby through the slats and avoid any lasting harm, but because the slats aren’t quite close enough together for my average sized 1-year-old to avoid this, we had to put it away for the time being until baby’s head can’t fit through the slats anymore (we will try again around 18 months, but doing a measurement test first. The product is rated for 1+ use and that’s just not correct. No baby should be able to hang weightless from the neck on any product due to the head fitting through the slats. It’s extremely dangerous and could lead to death if someone isn’t supervising or a person supervising panics. Believe me, it was a traumatic event. The baby was screaming and crying and I had to keep my cool, figuring out whether to try to push the head back down or pull the entire body through (body through seemed easier so that’s what I did.)All play with an item like this should absolutely be supervised, but this type of accident shouldn’t be able to happen if the slats are spaced close enough together or wide enough apart. Luckily we didn’t suffer lasting damage or harm, but I want to keep any other parent from experiencing the same issue.

Great piker triangle
Overall we are very satisfied. I will update with 5 stars after a few months to ensure durability but from what I can see, I have no reason to doubt it will last for a very long time.We got this for our 1.5 year old but we have several older siblings (50 lbs, 70 lbs, even 75+ lbs) who have also tried it out and it is holding them well. We are not encouraging the ones over 70 lbs to be on it but they sneak on it every now and then and I can't really see any give when they are on it and the triangle is at a more upright angle. When we put it at the wide, 110 degree angle, I could see some give when the bigger kids were on it, but not so much that I was worried. Overall it is nice quality wood, smooth, natural finish like with some oil or something. We did not need to sand it at all. The holes all lined up, everything went to plan so to speak when building it.Assembly took at least 30 minutes and that was with an electric drill. I can't imagine how long it would take just with the hex key they send you. You would have a tired hand I know that, because the bolts require a lot of turning to go in all the way.Overall I definitely recommend this. I think up to ages 7 or 8 it is definitely sturdy and lots of fun, maybe even a bit older. It is taller than some others and I like that it is adjustable. It is probably a little out of range for our 1.5 year old, even though he climbs on everything else lol. But I imagine once he warms up to it he'll be on it constantly. So far he climbs on it some but also likes sitting under it. We thought he might like it at the wider angle that isn't as tall but actually that is harder to climb and he prefers it more uprights. It is really handsome and looks nice enough sitting out in our living room.

Keep your toddler off your furniture!
It wasn't the easiest to assemble as people have said but it was worth it. I have a VERY active 18 month old and was tired of her climbing every price of furniture we owned. After she literally walked off an end table I looked around for options. This triangle has almost completely stopped that. After only a couple of days she was really sure about herself. It's been a month and she has gained a lot of balance. I ended up ordering more pieces from the company's etsy shop and recommended it to my sisters. This is the absolute best bang for your buck. My daughter liked it so much, I checked out a montessori book (the type of toy this is) from the library. I am glad I didn't go with my original idea of an outdoor slide playset. I can have her use this indoors and outdoors with not playset taking up my backyard. Also, I can bring it places when she has play dates. Honestly, if you're thinking about buying it, just buy the 4 main pieces (ramp, net, arch and triangle). You will probably end up doing once you get the triangle.

Basically something halfway done… Cannot complain because of price?
It is controversial. I cannot give it a good score because of it has some problem. But it isn’t bad because it priced just not bad…Pros 1. This is a budget choice and it is really much cheaper than almost all other choices. 2. It is very sturdy.Cons 1. The wood has some stinky smell (not chemical but like special essential oil), which may come from the “oil” finish? It is still there after 2 weeks. I left it in the garage and hope it will go away. 2. It is not well made and the wood are not sealed. The surfaces on rods are rough. It really need extra sanding to be smooth. It can be corrected by owners for sure with some extra costs, processes and elbow greases, but why would someone made such rough wooden toy for baby? Even I don’t want to touch it without gloves. 3. Also one of the rod has a misaligned hole and cannot be directly bolted. I have to drill new holes to bolt it correctly. If I don’t have tools, I would have to return it.

Unfinished wood. Hard to adjust. Get a better one.
I wish I saved and bought a nicer triangle. The wood on this is unfinished. Like it is just sanded so does not have a nice feel to touch it. It is a pain in the butt to change the angle and it is also an awkward size. I wish I had went with one of the 30" triangles with finished wood. Also I bought a ramp from another company and the rungs on this are too wide to fit the ramp and I think all other companies use the smaller size dowels. It was slightly hard to assemble as the screws didn't go in very easily. All in all not great.
