Love this tool

Inexpensive and saves time stripping the sheath on romex 12 GA wire. There's also a cutter to cut the excess after stripping the outer casing. I used it primarily as diy around the house.

When you figure out how to use this stripper it works well but not for small wire especially if it has any bends or kinks. I still have trouble with small wire and wire that has been has any bend in it. I have to manually straighten the wire and cut into short pieces 3-5ft on average. It seems I have trouble with anything over this length.

The product is hit and miss, if you have wire that is straight, and brand new PLUS a way to keep it straight as you run this tool down it, then it works great. But if you are scoring used wire that has been discarded, or wound up for a while it's kind of crappy. Because the opening doesn't secure the wire inside so there is no way to keep continual connection between the wire and the blade. The longer the wire the worse it works.

Bought this because I was wiring a new garage. Worked like a charm, no issues with function or ergonomics. Very easy to use. Only draw back I can see is once the blade gets dull could be a real pain to change.

Handy way of stripping wire's, just a little bulky for reaching the back of a single gang box, but that's my only complaint.
