here's the deal, it IS going to be too small if you order what you think is YOUR size. so, order it two sizes larger. Fortunately for me, this is an excellent seller. they sent me one that fit in no time at all.When I check a new seller, I rarely read the 5 star reviews. I read the one to 3 star reviews. because I want to see the character of the company. I want to see how they resolve problems. in this case, the problem was ME and they resolved it with grace and kindness. Fishing, Photography, whatever reason you may need LOTS of pocket without lots of layers, this is your vest.

I really like the design and fabric of the vest. It has so many pockets and is quite useful when fishing to carry assorted items on your person vice carrying a tackle box. I ordered a size larger due to other reviews but I could have probably gotten away with ordering my normal size. Here on the central California coast I often wear a jacket under it and it is still plenty big. The major issue I have is the zipper, I only wore this 3 times then the main zipper quit working. Since I don't wear it for looks I will probably "Jury Rig" something to keep the front fastened so I can keep using it because I love the many pockets. UPDATE: The seller has sent another vest along with apologies for the faulty zipper. The customer service alone is worth the bump to five stars.

I have an LVAD which requires that I carry around two large batteries and a controller to make my heart pump work to circulate blood. Specific for LVAD wear is quite expensive--a vest is $109. I purchased this vest to see if it would work as well and found that I like it much better than the LVAD vest. I use one inside pocket for the controller and one for a battery. The other battery I place in the outside pocket, thus allowing me to zip up the vest with the only wire showing being from the outside battery to the controller. I then have pockets for my phone, a cash stash, keys and a pill box in the other pockets. I am sure that this vest would be wonderful for a photographer or fisherman, but it is especially wonderful for an LVAD patient who is looking for creative ways to carry around his batteries and controller! I will be getting more in the appropriate colors to accessorize. The only downside to the vest is the small matter that the zipper is on the wrong side. It still functions well, but it is on the left instead of the right ( where male clothing usually has it.) It is a small price to pay for the comfort and functionality.

Due to this order I will be reluctant to order anything through Amazon that does not come through Prime and that comes from overseas. This vest was far too small (marked XXL, but too small for my 5'0" 100 lb wife.) I found a young neighbor who thought it was "cool," so I gave it to him. I will find a properly sized vest of this kind, but I will buy it from a bricks and mortar store, after trying it out. Demonstrated: the limits of on-line shopping.

I purchased this vest for my Real Estate photography business. It is better loading the vest than carrying my heavy Pelican case in, along with my tripods. It also saves me trips either to the car or up and down stairs.I did read the other reviews about the size differences and purchased the x large, a size larger than normal for me. I have another vest I have used in the past that was cotton, not as much ventilation as this one. It did last for 4 years and I usually use it 5-6 days a week. My wife has had to sew many torn areas due to heavy use. I live in the south US and that vest was horrible to wear in the heat. I was soaked by the time I finished my shoot.I saw this vest and it is $50.00 less than the one I have. I decided to give this a try.In the large pockets I carry two flashes. The puffy pockets on the bottom hold a door jammer, extra camera battery, 4 AAA, 2 AA backup batteries, a lens blower and wipe cloths, remotes for my flashesIt is still hot wearing the vest but not as bad as my heavier cotton one.Not sure if it will last as long as my other vest but the construction and zippers seem well made.
