Super fast RC truck. My 5 year old loves it and can’t wait for the snow to be gone to use it outside.

WARNING! Complete garbage. And a fire risk 🔥!
I’m not normally a review writer, but this was so bad felt the need to warn others.I bought this for my son for his 5th birthday. Made for a very sad birthday. The first truck I got was defective, so we returned it and it was replaced with another one which was also defective. Here is a breakdown of my experience with both trucks.1st truck:Son opened it on his birthday. After charging it, we turned it on and it only went forward very slowly, dragging its rear wheels. The second row of wheels would not turn freely—like the gears were locked up. I forced them to spin and eventually heard a loud crack, and then they spun and worked properly. After about 5-10 minutes of use the truck started intermittently being unresponsive. It didn’t seem to be sluggish like it had a low battery. I would just work at full speed for a few seconds and then stop.I thought maybe the battery was low so I went to plug it in, and that’s when I noticed it had melted its own charging cable when charging earlier. Could have caught fire if left long enough! My wife mentioned she noticed a burning smell while it was charging but didn’t know what it was.Status: returned.2nd truck:Unpacked from box and noticed the steering control on the remote didn’t spring back to center. Figured it might still work. Charged the battery, plugged it in, and sure enough, it only turned one direction. And, surprise, he second row of motorized wheels were jammed again, but this time I couldn’t get them to turn—they struggled and maybe turned one full rotation, but that was it.Oh, and guess what!? After about 30 seconds the truck would not respond to any inputs from the rc controller again. Mind you, I used brand new batteries for the remote in both trucks I had.My disappointed son watched as his replacement birthday present struggled and didn’t work. He said, and I’m not making this up, “is this from the dollar store? Because it breaks really easy like the dollar store toys.”TL, DR - defective, cheap, dangerous. Don’t buy for your kids unless you want to see them sad and disappointed.
