I cannot believe the quality for the price. Local shops wanted well over $100.00 for a similar shelf, yet I was able to get two of these for less than that, and the quality is even better than anything I found locally. Better yet, the assembly design is absolutely brilliant. Whoever engineered these knocked it out of the park. It's the smartest assembly I've ever seen on any build-it-yourself unit. The way the pieces lock together with metal rods is a stroke of genius and make the shelves very, very sturdy. I wasn't expecting much for the price, yet was blown away by the quality. Highly-recommended!

The wood is well painted and finished. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, as you know, it's sometimes hard to tell what you'll get when ordering sight unseen! It took about 90 mins. for me to assemble. It could take you less, but I hate to have to redo things, so I took my time. It included all necessary screws, and hardware; I only needed a Phillips head screwdriver. My roommate commented "That's really cute"! And I must say I agreed!

Pack your patience when assembling, take your time and it will turn out beautiful.It took me 2 hours but was worth the trouble. It it very sturdy, very nice quality, and thesize is perfect for where I put it. I am very happy with this purchase.

My husband used an electric drill on screws. Be careful with this as if you tighten the screws to tight it cracks the wood. Also the caps that cover the screws when you are done assembling the ladder do not fit. some are too big some are too small. I pounded in the big ones and used cotton in the small holes to help fill in the small ones. and glued all caps in. Overall I like the look and sturdiness of the ladder!
