Dependable for backups. Easy to use. Long lasting.
We love the WD My Passports. Great for backups. Comes with backup software, but we don't use that. We use Handy Backup instead. The 5TB is the perfect size for what we need. Easy to connect and disconnect. These drives last 4-5 years with continuous use. We replace them every 4 years and have never had 1 die before being replaced.

Love color and great external harddrive

Hard Drive causing computer crashes.
Tried to get it to work but it keeps crashing my computer or windows explorer on my computer. Even with my new upgraded computer it would either crash it, stop it from restarting, crash the windows explorer and not let it boot back up, or cause my computer to try and boot up into safe mode but fail to do so. I will not be buying it again.

It didn't last very long!
Bought this hard drive, but really didn't start using it until last month. It died on me. The noise was indicative that the arm was not moving onto the disk. It was stuck. All the time spent copying files onto the drive was wasted. I will reconsider buying such a drive and try using thumb drives instead. Very disappointed!!

5T WD Ultra disk
I have many WD Ultra hard disks & this is my first 5T version. As usual, no problem when connected to my 4T BeeStation as a backup disk. Great product.

Good drive decent speed
It may not be an SSD drive but it performs well decent speed in comparison and is backed by an amazing company as well.

HDDは5年以内に買い替えるので、この機種も6台目くらいです。 今まで、5年以内で壊れたことはなかったのですが、6台中1台のみ3年で SMARTチェックにエラーが出て壊れてしまう前に買い替えました。 突然壊れたと慌てる前に、定期的に SMARTチェックをして、危険な兆候が出ているのであれば即買い替えするのがおすすめです。HDD は HDD が大事なのではなく、HDD に入っているデータが大事なわけですから。
