Very happy with this purchase!
I have been wanting to order this for some time but the price was outside my range. I initially ordered an Aeroski (as an alternative) from their website (not Amazon) and was looking forward to a delivery well before Christmas. After a mess-up with my order, I was refunded at the last minute and decided to go ahead an order the Pro Fitter. I could not be more pleased. Even with the last minute order, I received it before Christmas. I am prone to injury due to a desk job (I sit too much) however I am active. I am using the Pro fitter to build up balance and hip flexor complex but have found it can be used for shoulder rehab/strengthening and much more. So far I am extremely happy I made the decision.

Broken Wheel
I had used this pro fitter in physical therapy for my knee and was very excited to get my own. When I opened the box one of the wheels had been smashed to pieces and when I tried to get a replacement wheel for it, the company was very difficult to deal with because I had ordered the product from amazon and not directly from them. I am returning the whole broken item and am going to order it directly from the company this time. Biggest annoyance is that the company is from Canada and takes a long time to ship to the US.

Overpriced.
I wanted to build muscles for skating, but I really didn't need to spend this much. I set up my rebounder with handlebar directly in front so I feel I have a handle for stability.

My knees love this
I love everything about it and my.knees thank me every day with amazing pain reduction. The muscles in my legs and core are stronger after 1 month. I jump on this almost every day, its fun and effective. Most of all its compact enough to store easily yet offers so many exercise options it's like a mini-gym. All the best parts of feeling like you're skiing but no injury, nothing but improved physical strength and well-being

Happy customer
Wonderful, well-made piece of equipment! As a former rink rat with a bad knee, I was looking for something to replicate the feeling of skating without leaving home. This really hit the mark. I found my balance in no time and had no knee pain! I look forward to using this for years.

Risky
I am a dancer so balance and agility are not my weaknesses. I haven't fallen in 15 years and that was on an icy inclined surface. My physical therapist has me used the Pro Fitter for therapy on my knee. I almost lost my balance going to the right one day. Two days later, I actually fell off going the right and hit the floor hard. As I fell, the foot holder moved to the left, but my right foot did not immediately release from it. Almost the entire right side of my body was affected. Lower leg, knee, hip, elbow and hand all slammed against either the floor or the equipment itself. Along with significant swelling and bruising at all of the previously mentioned body parts, there were a few cuts on the side of my knee which landed on the Pro Fitter. After the physical thereapist performed all of the stress tests to assess injuries, the right side of my body had to be iced down at the same time as my left knee (the one I was actually ther for). As I look at photos of the Pro Fitter being advertised, I see that models are bent at the waist, lowering their center of gravity. I was not bent at the waist nearly that much. No one at physical therapy has every corrected my posture on the Pro Fitter. So posture may have certainly been a factor. However, in the interest of safety, there was nothing for me to hold on to when I lost my balance to prevent the fall. And as the movement is lateral and center of gravity is moving from side to side, stepping off to the front or back wasn't an option. I was not a big fan of this piece of equipment before the fall, so I'm even less of a fan now.

Get a Jump Rope
IMO ski machines in general are a waste of time and money. I used this particular model in PT and was not impressed. I'm 66, been skiing for 46 years, and have maintained an excellent level of cardiovascular fitness and balance for ski season using a $10 jump rope. Having had 3 knee surgeries I can also attest that proper use of a jump rope on a surface with some give (wood, rubber mat ...) is knee friendly as well. Save the $$$ you would spend on a machine for lift tickets.

but it's a good workout for the knees
Not sure it is worth the price, but it's a good workout for the knees. Works well for me.

Not worth the $$$ for the outcomes.
