Hello, This item does float in the water however it doesn't work well enough to float with someone attached to it. It is neutrally buoyant.

I'm 6 feet 2 inches tall, I wear a size XL shirt but I have a 48 inch chest, will this still fit?

Can you use while wearing a life jacket?

Thank you for your recent email. The Shark Fin is worn like a backpack would be, with straps that strap to the shoulders and around the back of the wearer. Just so you are aware the shark fin is not a flotation device. Even though the straps are adjustable, but we do not recommend wearing both together. I hope this information has been helpful.
