They worked well, then started getting rusty around the attachment area within 6 months making them harder to open.

I bought these because I was in need of a new set of kitchen shears and I was looking for a higher end set than the previous set I had. My previous set came in one of those large sets of kitchen tools, but was beginning to dull. The features I like about these:1. You can take them apart so you can sharpen them (if you can't take it apart it's really difficult to sharpen). If you can sharpen them easily and well, the product will last a lot longer.2. Non-porous/sanisafe plastic handle/grip: This makes cleanup a lot easier. It means that food particles won't get stuck on the handle. I've been working on switching to all NSF certified in my kitchen because it makes cleaning easier and it gives me more confidence in my ability to get it clean/keep it clean.3. The grip is pleasant to use. It's comfortable, spacious (I have big hands), and your hand isn't going to cramp up using them.4. The blades are nice and thick, and they're very sturdy.If you don't have a set of kitchen shears for your kitchen, I would get a pair... They're useful for food prep, I use them to snip herbs off my herb plants, sometimes I use them in place of a boning knife to cut through chicken joints. One note, if you get kitchen shears, they're kitchen shears don't use them for miscellaneous tasks they should only be used for food prep.

They fall apart even when I don’t want them to. A little annoying.
