TACHILC Ying Yang Bamboo Bead Curtain, Doorway Hanging Beads, Hand Painted Be...

I’ve had several of these beaded bamboo curtains over the years. This is my first from this brand. It’s probably the lowest price I’ve paid. Very nice craftsmanship. Came neatly out of the box and ready to go up. There was no chemical odor that I could detect, ans some reviews mention, and it was very simple to hang. You don’t really need hanging hooks unless you are hanging from the ceiling. If hanging in a doorway, 2 sturdy nails (pound in slanted up a little) work fine. It’s surprisingly more sturdy than one would think it would be. So far, I’m loving it. No broken pieces or strands, no defects, and the design is perfect and just as pictured. Seems a teeny tiny bit sheerer than the last one I bought, because the bamboo pieces on this one are a little more slender, but that’s ok, it’s more for ambiance than for privacy. As for longevity, in my experience, these curtains, if in a high traffic area, last a few years at most. I think it also depends on how gentle you are when walking through. The breaks usually happen from the strands getting tangled or pulled on too hard. I try to be mindful of not barreling through - I use my hands to part the beads first. So, in general, I’m very happy with this Tachilc beaded curtain and would definitely recommend. By the way, if you have cats and are worried they will mess with it, my two adult cats do not. They were a little freaked out when I bough my first one, and would flatten themselves to the floor to limbo under it, but after a few days, they were just walking right through!

TACHILC gives you over 90 quality strands. I tried another brand, ordered the best I saw on Amazon but sent it right back, as it had only 40-some strands. In the product pics on Amazon, to my eye the dreamcatcher seemed to stand out and the yin yang looked a little off. So I ordered the dream catcher first, loved it, tried the other brand because I was iffy on the yin yang, but when the competition arrived, I sent it back as mentioned above, and ordered the yin yang, which, surprise, is much more bold than depicted and even more so in person than the dream catcher you see in my pics. Why did I want one? Sometimes doors are a bad idea. In my case, the closet in the weight room opened into the room, taking away functionality I needed. In the bathroom, the closet was perpetually musty. We did damp rid, everything, but same musty closet. Removing the door was the solution, and with the TACHILC hangin in lieu of the door, the bathroom looks better than ever-- and after one day, poof, musty left town.

We have different varieties hung up on bedroom doors. Now they look nice and sounds like tiny chimes. Warning if you have kids or pets rethink them. They break easy. My cat lays sprawled put on the floor and bats at them ,not hard mind you and they break. The beads are thin. The husky runs threw them and they clank together and break. Kids run threw and they hit harder and break . When you have to many broken beads there are gaps. Now you have an expensive Now ugly bunch of decor on your door. If you put it anywhere put it where you have not to much movement. Don't do doorways as meant for or even windows because as also learned of windows open the breeze shakes and breaks the beads.

Zero complaints! It’s beautiful and well crafted, the quality is excellent and it was so easy to put up! I’ve been getting so many compliments already, one friend says it looks like a piece of art and it truly is😍😍Will definitely make another purchase in the future for a different room. Beyond satisfied 😊❤️❤️❤️

One broke already but I still like it

I Have Had It For Less Than 6 Months. First Few Months Were Great, Such A Great Item. After The First Few Months The Separate Pieces Started Falling Off And I Am Having To Thread Them Back On Once A Week. I Only Recommend This Item For “Low Traffic” Doorways. I’d Say Maybe More For Decoration, Than Daily Use.

I love this , it is now the entrance to my art studio. Well made. Well painted. Design visible from both sides. Fits standard doorway perfectly. Easy to hang. Makes me feel happy to look at it, walk through, and hear others walk through. Awesome. Maybe a tad on the pricey side.
