Fits in the hand well, looks nice, not too tippy, and keeps the drink nice and hot for a decent time. What's not to like?

The Contigo mug is intended to be an upgrade from the glass double-walled mug I've been using for a number of years. The double-wall glass holds heat significantly better than a ceramic mug but I drink coffee slowly so I wanted something even better. When I travel, I use a Zojirushi and it performs amazingly well, but when I'm at my desk I want a mug with a handle not a thermos. I tested the Contigo against my glass mug and the Zojirushi travel mug. I put 12 ounces (355 ml) into each mug at 187 degrees F (86 C) and secured the lids so evaporation was not a factor. With the glass mug I used plastic wrap since it doesn't have a lid. As expected, the double-walled glass (air-insulated, no vacuum) performed the worst. After 90 minutes, the water in the glass dropped 70 F (39 C). The water in the Zojirushi lost only 10 F (5.6 C) and the Contigo lost 20 F (11 C), which left the liquid still nice and hot at 167 F (75 C). This is as good as I had hoped since the Contigo's mug-like design uses thicker walls and a lighter lid. This also means the Contigo is heavier and more solid and sits more stable but won't fit in a car cupholder like the Zojirushi. That's fine since this is my desk mug, not my travel mug. Sipping without the lid is more pleasant, but the lid is well designed and does not leak when installed. There is no noticeable metallic taste and the handle has excellent ergonomics. Overall I'm very happy with the mug. It delivers excellent performance in a true handled mug format.

I bought this for my mother back in November 2024 because she specifically wanted a mug with a reliable handle. It’s been about 16 months now, and she is still very happy with it. The heat retention is impressive—it keeps her tea hot for at least 4 hours, which is exactly what she was looking for. Even though it's not in daily use, there are absolutely no signs of wear or tear, and the paint/finish still looks great. One of the best things is the stability; the base feels very secure on the table, and we haven't had a single issue with leaks from the lid. If you're looking for a high-quality gift or a solid mug for home/office use, this is a great choice.

Awesome mugs, sleek futuristic design, incredible at keeping coffee hot for extended periods of time, would be 5/5 if the lid wasn't prone to leaking during travel. Highly recommend

I love the shape of these cute little travel mugs! I chose them for the look and color. I am familiar with the Contigo brand from their water bottles and mugs often available at Costco. I appreciate the 2 pack, and meant for the second to be for a family member. But really, I have been the using it as my own spare. I use this mug almost daily for coffee to take to the office (and refill at the office). I found that I like the angle of the handles, as it is easy to hold--both while walking and to lift to drink. The lids slide open and closed with a little push; I like these lids for the ease of opening. "Splash-proof" is an accurate description for the lid. They are not "leak proof" like other vacuum sealed lids. If you tilt the mug at an angle, you could spill. I have spilled coffee in the elevator... These are not necessarily *commuter* mugs, since they don't fit in standard car cup holders. I have a short commute, so I balance the mug precariously on my cupholder at an angle. To be honest, I have spilled coffee in my car cupholder a few times. I most enjoy using these mugs at my desk at work; the insulation and lid keep my coffee warm for longer periods of time. It is also easy to take with me to meetings and walk around town. I had a clear idea of the product I was purchasing at the time and I am satisfied with my purchase.

Love these stainless steel mugs (cups). I have used a number of stainless steel mugs for the last 4-years, but most ended up losing paint, or top did not work correctly. I found my first Contigo Streeterville Stainless Steel Mug at a local store and really loved using it. Decided to buy 2-more to have extra's in case these are no longer available in the near future, and to switch out when one is dirty and needs to be washed. They keep the coffee pretty warm and it sits nicely with a rubber slip proof bottom. The lid is simply made and does what it supposed to do. I take it everywhere with me. Note: if you plan to put this in your car cup holder do measure it because these cups didn't fit my car cup holders perfectly. All cars are different, but that was not enough to keep me from not buy it and taking it with me in my car. I plan to buy some of these mugs (cups) for my friends as gifts.

The size of this cup is perfect. its really easy to use. The seal woks great. The thickness is spot on. it makes everything taste better. It is a great value for the money
