Purchased this fake fire for a Halloween and Christmas fireplace decoration. The price matched the quality and works as intended. Much better than just coloured lights to have a complete fake fireplace look. The flame effect and lights are not large or super bright so still using the flame projector light for better visibility. The "flame" ocassionally get suck to the base, but fixes itself after a while.

We purchased two of them; one for each side of the television. And then put a red light on top of the armoire. The entire corner looked like it was a fiery inferno when the lights were off. Perfect for Halloween! We might buy more next year.

Our friends had the unit with the Cone Shaped Base and we absolutely "Loved it"! The flame was so realistic !!! Perfect for camping - when no fires are allowed. So, I wanted the same unit and found it on Amazon. But when I received it, it was not the same unit, as it had 3 legs for the stand and not the cone shaped base. The video on Amazon showing the product detail, ironically showed one of each... Not seeing anyway to specify, I took a chance hoping for the Cone Shaped Base. Unfortunately we got the three legged one, which takes up more valuable storage space in our RV. But the worst thing was... the fan motor was not attached ! It was loose at the bottom of the fire bowl. So we simply returned it. (Thank you Amazon Prime). If I could get the Cone Shaped Base... I'd definitely re-order cause this "fake" fire pit is really cool.

The Light and the fabric is only RED, not orange and red like the box,and other photos show. The fan is also very loud. The silk like fabric isn't finished on the edge in any way, so it is already unraveling right out of the box. Although the fan is loud there isn't a lot of airflow, so the flame fabric will sometimes not even lift and will just lay there stuck! Also since the edges are unraveling they get caught in the plastic that holds the base of the fabric making matters worse. I thought about replacing the fabric with multi-color fabric and finishing the ends so the fabric doesn't fray and unravel, and replacing the fan with a bigger quieter fan with better flow (adjustable speed), buying a smart plug and plugging the unit into it so I can turn it on and off without having to unplug it and plug it in! Also maybe adding a yellow/orange light... but then I realized that I would just be replacing the whole thing basically! and why don't I just make my own!!

The material is of poor quality, tears really easy.

We have used this outside for 4-5 hours a day since we bought it. When we got it, one of the flames wouldn't stand up. After a couple of hours, it started to work. In the dayligh, the flames show as a flat darker red, at night they are a brighter color. In both the daylight and dark, they are fairly visible from across the yard, but blend into the robe on the skeleton behind it. We don't leave it outside at night because of the heavy frost here. Obviously it isn't for use in rain or snow. I think a combination of yellow and red would give a better flame look. I'll do that with this one after we're down this Christmas.

I was a little worried about this purchase, as I wasn't sure how cheesey it might be. But, to my surprise, it's better than I expected. It is exactly what I was looking for. With all of the wildfires lately and devastation surrounding it, this is the perfect alternative for the ambience of a campfire 🔥

Functional for my purposes in an apartment balcony setting.

I used this to set a camp scene for school. It was exactly what I was looking for to make the scene come alive.

J'ai acheté cette lampe pour faire un fau feu de camp dans une pièce de théâtre, mais elle ne répondait pas à mes attentes. Le plus gros problème est le bruit qu'elle émet. Un ronronnement constant vient gâcher l'atmosphère que je souhaitais créer. C'est vraiment dommage car cela rend l'utilisation de cette lampe très désagréable. L'effet de flamme est loin d'être convaincant. Les mouvements sont saccadés et peu naturels, on est très loin d'une véritable flamme vacillante. J'ai trouvé qu'il y avait peu de tissus pour donner du volume au faux feu. Cela se voit surtout lorsque l'on regarde de près. Au final, cette lampe est loin de répondre à mes attentes. Je ne la recommande pas à ceux qui recherchent une ambiance feu de camp authentique.
