Awesome if you are not expecting fresh oysters. This was not their intent.
These are smoked and canned oysters. Not fresh caught. They are not intended to taste or be like fresh oysters, but an alternative for oyster lovers when fresh is 1500 miles away. They are large, firm, flavorful, tasty, healthful, inexpensive, a totally different taste and an awesome way to have oysters when otherwise you couldn’t.

My husband who really loves spicy - loves these. He does recommend that while he loves spicy hot stuff - take care to avoid eating the pepper that is in the can and looks like an oyster. It's just too hot.

If I couldn’t have fresh oysters… this isn’t bad, but I wouldn’t buy these again. My wife bought a can to try since it was on sale. Based on the reviews she was really curious about the taste. I’m glad she chose the smoked oyster with the chili peppers since it was a lil spicy but I’m really missing that fresh shucked flavor. Glad we tried it but we don’t really eat canned food. The cooked.. consistency was a bit odd…still not terrible, just not great…
