As good as everyone says!
Update October 2020: I was just buying a replacement pair and thought I'd update my review. Though the fact that I'm buying another pair should tell you enough! I've worn my first black pair at least three times a week for the past year and a half and they've been great. They continue to be some of the most comfortable, lightest shoes I've owned, and coming home every day just completely not aware of my knees and feet is like a miracle. The black pair, which I've worn the most, are showing wear on their soles; I think there's actually still a decent bit of wear left in them, but I'm about to go on a trip where I'll be walking a lot, so I wanted to have a pair in tip-top shape for that occasion. The upper part of the shoe still looks great. Out of my three pairs that I've owned for over a year, I've had two small problems. The velcro on one shoe of one pair isn't holding as well anymore, and one shoe of one pair had some sole separation (easily fixed with E6000 glue). The comfort and ease of these shoes far outweighs those small problems. I will say, having bought these in black, brown, and navy synthetic, I wouldn't bother buying the different colors next time. Even out of the box, the brown and navy are both almost-black dark to begin with, and then it turns out that the color is more of a sprayed-on, almost powdery coating over an underlying black synthetic that rubs off pretty quickly. After a few months, I was left with one black pair, one black pair with dark brown stitching, and one black pair with dark blue stitching, so it's really not worth it if you want shoes in distinctly different colors. Original review: In my business we have a peak season in the summer where I am on my feet all day long. After last summer, I was in absolute agony and would lie in bed every night with my feet aching so badly I could barely sleep. I knew something had to change! So before this year's summer rush I went looking for a truly comfortable pair of shoes, and after spending time reading over reviews finally decided to try these. After wearing them for just two weeks, I went out and bought them in two more colors. Now it's the end of the summer rush, and I'm just... not aware of my feet at all. They do their work and carry me around and DON'T HURT. Amazing! Seriously, I wasn't expecting them to be this effective. I haven't had much luck with memory foam shoes in the past, usually preferring a more orthotic-type insole, but these are as effective as any orthotic I've ever used and definitely more comfortable! And LIGHT - I didn't realize how tiring my big heavy shoes were until I wasn't fighting that weight anymore. As well as being great for work, these have also become my must-pack travel shoes; they're neutral enough to go with many outfits, comfortable enough that I can walk in them all day, and easy to kick off and on for long car trips. Interesting side note to theater techs, ninjas, etc - these are the absolute quietest shoes I've ever owned!

Comfortable and reliable.
Very comfortable and true to size. I took out their inserts and put in my own orthotic inserts which worked really well since the footbed is 0% rise. This was a replacement pair for the pair I bought in 2018 whose Velcro fasteners had worn out. Delighted they were still available through Amazon!

Lightweight Everyday Flats With Comfort in Mind
Lightweight Everyday Flats With Comfort in Mind The Clarks Sillian Bella Mary Jane Flats are part of the Cloudsteppers line, and true to that name, they feel light as air on your feet. The synthetic material keeps the shoe weight down, and the cushioned Ortholite footbed provides a soft, supportive base that makes these easy to wear all day without fatigue. The Velcro strap is convenient for quick on and off, and it helps get a snug fit without fussing with buckles. I also like that the rubber sole has just enough grip to feel stable without being clunky. The style is simple and versatileโclean enough for casual work outfits but also fine for jeans or summer skirts. A couple of things to note: sizing can run inconsistent. Even in the wide option, these may feel snug for those with truly wide feet, so going up half a size might be worth it. Also, while theyโre comfortable for errands, office wear, or shorter walks, they donโt offer the same arch support and durability as a premium walking shoeโif youโre planning a full day of sightseeing or heavy walking, your feet may want more cushioning. Bottom line: A lightweight, versatile flat thatโs comfortable for everyday wear and easy to slip on and off. Great value for casual use, though not the best choice for those who need strong arch support or extended walking comfort.

So comfortable
So comfortable. This is the only shoe where my toes donโt hurt. Thank you. They look good. Good fit quality is good.

Great, for occasional wear.
These were very comfortable and fit perfectly at the outset. I was actually quite sure these would be my new go-to work shoe, that one shoe that you reorder every time they wear out... Unfortunately, they just don't have the durability needed for a work shoe. The soles have worn more than 1/4" in just the two months I've been wearing them, and now I need to replace them, as that wear as primarily been on the inside edge. My needs are a shoe that I can wear 8-9 hours a day, on my feet, walking and standing, and these don't hit that mark. If the soles were made of a more durable material, I would love these shoes. For a shoe you wear at an office job or just out and about, I'm sure they'll serve admirably, and for that I wholeheartedly recommend them. They're comfy, cute, easy to wear, and will match just about everything you own.

Extremely light-weight, Extremely soft memory foam soles!
These are super light weight! They feel like air! There is plenty of space in the toe area, as well as full toe coverage and no pain along the sides of my feet. I am still recovering from two recent foot surgeries and I can say that my feet really are horrible, so buying shoes online is a long process for me because I read every review and try to match it to my own foot issues. I wear a size 10; I don't have particularly wide feet but sometimes one foot does swell. I bought these in a regular fit and they are just fine. I didn't require a wide at all. But again, I don't usually wear a W. My feet do not bend because the bones have been fused to include the toes and other main joints. Standing on my feet is not fun for me - or even walking for long periods of time, and sitting makes me swell too, but these were so nice to have for a change. I so wish these shoes were a little prettier as they look more like suede and the plastic soles look like cheap scuffed plastic, but I can't complain for how soft the inside soles are. Because of my swelling I also wish the strap had a little more give to it, but it's still manageable for me. And the top of the shoe and the sides do not touch any of my sensitive scars so they really are a gem to wear. After only wearing them for one day in an office sitting at a desk for 8hrs, they already looked a little scuffed and worn, which is a negative. But I work behind the scenes so beauty is not necessary - but comfort is. I love Merrels too, but these are such a great price that for right now if you have as many issues as I do, I would say do not hesitate to buy them. Also, they were almost $20 cheaper on Amazon than on Zappos right now, so that's a great deal.

I just ordered two more colors.
I like these shoes so well I immediately ordered them in 2 additional colors! I like to wear "Mary Jane" style shoes due to several medical conditions -- many involving my feet/legs and gait/balance. My latest issue is that one of my feet swells a little and the other has a lump on the top, meaning some of my other shoes no longer fit well, but these will address several of those problems. What I like: 1. The strap has enough Velcro to expand to different widths, wraps around the foot toward my ankle, and the Velcro also holds extra tight so the shoe doesn't pull off if I stumble and put stress on the strap. 2. The opening goes far enough toward the toe to allow for the occasional swelling of the tops of my feet. 3. The rubber sole is thick enough to raise me above small puddles in bad weather, but thin enough for them to look a little dressy as well -- not so thick to be clunky & heavy. 4. The soft, cushioned insole makes them super comfortable, and also can be pulled right out. I may try that with thicker socks -- or even with a single shoe if I need the extra room. 5. They're lightweight and the toes curl up a bit -- which also helps me to avoid tripping. By now you're probably wondering why I bother to walk at all if I have this much trouble doing it, but I'm determined to keep myself as mobile as possible for as long as possible. I hope these shoes will help me continue to do that in comfort and style . :-)

awful
I have to admit that the last time I purchased Clarks shoes was, probably, a decade ago: those shoes fit amazing and lasted that long(!) so, naturally, when I needed a new pair I turned to Clarks. These shoes looked very cute, and they were on sale, so I happily purchased a pair in my size. They arrived quickly, but that's where the positives end. The shoes are too wide. I ordered regular width - M, even though my feel are prone to swelling by the end of the day these are still too wide in the toes! I fasten the velcro on the tightest setting and they stay on, but look ridiculous! One of the velcro straps is sewn in such a way that if you don't fasten it on the tightest, it touches - and SCRATCHES - the skin! Ouch! The toes of these shoes are pointing up. Unless you are purposefully standing on your tippy toes, your toes in these shoes will never touch the ground. That makes it really weird when I walk. The footbed of these shoes is very unbalanced: my feet are constantly shifting as I walk as if trying to find a comfortable position... For such a comfy-looking shoe it's surprising to have virtually no arch support. The shoes are made of cloth, so if you are ever caught in the rain they will soak right through and stink and that would, probably, be the end of them. But even if you manage to keep them dry, they are a dust magnet! If you live in an area where there's lots of pollen and/or dust, your shoes will no longer be black! They attract dust/pollen and look dirty in an instant! This is definitely not the quality I expected from Clarks.
