I LOVE these workouts
I LOVE these workouts!! I am a new mom, now for the second time and these workouts burn, burn, burn! I've never done anything like them and I did Suzanne Bowen's prenatal Barre DVD while I was pregnant. I jokingly call Physique57 DVD's and classes, "Barre on Steroids"-- they're amazing. They're challenging, so they're not for the faint of heart. I am a P90X, Insanity, Chalene Extreme, 21 Day Fix, and T-25 graduate. While I like all of these beach body workouts, they're high impact and while I got great results with P90X and Insanity (and weight loss with T-25), I feel that these workouts are much more intense and they won't cause injuries due to over training. I also mix these up with in-studio classes, once or twice a week. The ball does have an odor but you get used to it. The only thing I will say is that when I was commuting to work on my bike (about 15 minutes each way every day), I noticed a bigger weight loss, which leads me to believe that throwing some extra cardio here and there may accelerate your results (I have to mention that I'm nursing and I'm not restricting calories, just trying to eat healthy and clean -- unfortunately, chocolate is my downfall, so I'm sure I would see even more dramatic results if I cut out the sugar and watch my portions). My husband is telling me that my backside is noticeably smaller and the shape is completely different, and that my legs are getting toned, and my body looks like it's shrinking, which is a great motivation. I highly recommend these DVD's, especially for new moms who want a low impact but challenging workout. By the way, the music is really upbeat and wonderful, and while some reviewers found Tanya to be annoying, I find her very motivating and corky/entertaining and it makes the hour long DVD's fly by (comparing it to Tracy Anderson Method, where you barely get any instructions, I prefer more talking than not).

Physique 57 has changed my body! I read about Physique 57 in a book (Primates of Park Avenue) and decided to give it a try. I purchased this set 8 months ago and I've done the workouts 3-5 times a week pretty consistently. My legs, arms and stomach muscles are more toned than they've been in decades (I am 53). I LOVE the compliments I get from my my husband, friends, and 20-something daughters. I have lost ~5 pounds, which is great. But it's not so much the weight as the muscle mass that makes the difference. My stomach is FLAT. My jeans look great. My cellulite is...well, it's a LOT less. My legs are toned. My arms are amazing. Yes, these workouts are hard, but you see the results right away so you are inspired to keep doing them. And they are actually fun. I especially like the DVDs led by Tanya Becker. "Get desire on this last set! Imagine you are getting out of a pool, and you don't even grab your towel because you know you look great." YES! I can imagine! And, "Cellulite doesn't like this one. Bye-bye cellulite!" Too funny. I highly recommend getting the ballet bar (I purchased mine on the Physique 57 website. It was pricey but worth it.) So much easier than using a chair. I have been active my whole life...tennis, running, yoga...but this workout is truly an all-body workout. Highly recommend it!!

Bye Bye Problem Areas
I was hesitant to try this workout kit. In the past, I've had a personal trainer, and I've completed several Beach Body workout kits. I wasn't sure this would be challenging enough for me. No matter what I've tried, as a woman in her mid 40's, I've been struggling with problem areas on my body. This kit seems to focus on those areas....inner thighs, butt, abs, flabby arms, etc. I absolutely love these workouts!!! I thought I was in shape until I started them. If you're hesitating, please give them a try!!

Love! I wasn't sure I would like this type ...
Love! I wasn't sure I would like this type of workout. I am in good shape. I run, swim, lift weights, bike, use the pilates reformer... I lost two inches from my waste in two weeks & 2% body fat. I love the burn I feel during the workouts. The stretching mixed in relaxes me immensely. I am stronger, leaner, more flexible & so glad I decided to try a different type of workout. I was worried that this would hurt my knees because I have had issues lately w tendinitis so I had to limit my running to once a week. I really focus on my technique and my muscles in my quads are more even all around & I am able to up my running again. I truly believe the leg strength & increased flexibility from this set of dvds has made that possible. But it.

It works if you do it!
This is the workout I've been looking for! Challenging...and since I am not a cardio fan this is a great alternative. I worked up a sweat, the moves are intense and I feel it more than any other workout I've done. I'm looking into other barre workouts since I enjoy this one so much! It has only been 3 weeks but I am seeing changes in my body which is the best motivator of all! Highly recommend!

I love the workout
I do love the workout I get. There is lots of room to progress and to intensify your workout. And with the selection of videos it would be hard to get bored. The things that make it hard to slide that DVD in is... Tanya, as great as an instructor as she is, she is really cheesy. After a couple workouts I want to mute her and just have the cues for the moves (which is something P90X can do). Also being able to play my own music would be preferable. I know they probably spent a lot of money to produce music just for their video... but I really don't get motivated by it. So being able to mute music and Tanya (except for cues and form checks) would make this a better package. Also Maybe an extended version of the videos just for stretching, 10 minutes even.Overall these ladies rock... just give me Muting capabilities and Extended stretching and they have a 6 out of five stars ;)

I love these workouts!
Where have these workouts been my whole life? I love them! I've done Insanity, T25, Jillian Michaels, P90X, etc. even after all that, these got my thighs burning! I just wish they would make more workouts. I would buy them all! I highly recommend these. If you have bad knees though, these may be tough for you.
