Falcon Eyes RX-12T (New Packaging) 280 Lights Lightweight Roll-Flex LED Light Waterproof Lamp

I use this light on almost all my shoots - it's lightweight, relatively easy to use, bright, and can be utilized in a variety of situations. My biggest gripe is how many different cords you have to plug in to use it without a battery, but honestly it's not a big deal. I highly recommend the softbox with this light, as it will help soften it even more, and give you a fairly large, beautifully soft light with very little extra setup time required.

Fantastic, inexpensive alternative to the Wescott system. Lightweight, easily diffused, or placed in larger umbrella(RX-18T). The RX-12T is MUCH smaller than the RX-18T; and puts off less light- so make sure to pay attention to the measurements. I only wish they made a RX-24T.

We used these lights to shoot Industrial videos for a Machine Tools company. The lit not only the talent well, but also the machines. Takes some time to set up and break down, but once you get the hang of it it's easier. The lights are very lightweight and easy to take from room to room. You do need to purchase the stands separately though. I recommend the Newer Light stands

Great light for tight spots

The LEDs must be of low quality as the light developed a green tint, rendering them unusable; buy at your open risk.

When it comes to LED lights, the main thing I'm looking for it color accuracy. I've had a lot of issues with many cheap lights, and this one also has color issues. It has a slight magenta shift. It's not nearly as bad a some others, but still noticeable. It's best if you don't pair this with any other type of light. I put this alongside a 5500k softbox and you can see the difference in colors.The case it comes with is a nice idea, but doesn't actually work well. The cutouts are weird shapes and it makes putting everything back really hard. I also hate the folding frame. The X bracket doesn't fit very well on the back of the light. I can't full extend the arms all the way and is impossible to fold into a small package that fits in the case.I like the control box, although it seems a little unnecessary. There is plenty of length in the cables which is nice considering the only other option is a V-mount battery. A normal Sony battery would have been nice.Overall this is a fine light. It puts out a good amount of light and is nice for traveling with a compact package. If you're not a pro you won't find many things wrong with it. But for me, the magenta shift is a big concern.
