I'm gonna be honest. I don't know that much about computers aside from the programs I use everyday for work. So I got this as a kind curiosity read. Sometimes I like to imagine I could one day become a technological bad--s, ok? (BTW, that's not wrong for me to say - the author makes it clear that there is ethical hacking and unethical hacking, so you could potentially be an ethical bad--s). Anyway, I thought the author did a good job of making the information understandable for beginners. Who knows, this information might actually come in handy some day. XP

This book does an excellent job of explaining how to become a ethical hacker
Wow! Until I read this book I had never thought about having a career in ethical hacking. This book does an excellent job of explaining how to become a ethical hacker. It also has made me aware of the process of black hat hackers, which is frightening! I can see why companies would have ethical hackers on their payroll to test their systems. Overall very educational book on a subject that I knew very little about!

Not what it says to be.
This book is very very bare bones and doesn't even cover half of the stuff it says it should. For example, it talks about explaining how to hack wireless networks yet it doesn't mention wireless once or even any of the tools such as AirCrack or Airmon etc. I would avoid wasting your money on this book as it is only a waste of 40 pages of your life. Look elsewhere.

This book is educational and a great guide. I look up to the author whom ...
Protecting the entire system is hard if you lack of knowledge about hacking. This book is for those people you are in the field of programming and computer science. This topic is very technical. You need to have a knowledge about how a system works and then thinks l about the ways how hackers can enter into that system with the intention of destroying it.This book is educational and a great guide. I look up to the author whom I know did a deep research about this. It was a great read!

This book was pretty much everything that I need
I picked up this book because I needed something to teach me the basics but also go into some in debt hacking techniques to help out with my mastery. This book was pretty much everything that I need. It was very good at explaining all of the nitty gritty and much more. I am giving this a 4 star and not a 5 star because it was very short and probably left out a lot of information.

Not terrible, just poorly titled
Not terrible, just poorly titled. This book is a beginners guide to hacking and nothing more. It is certainly not a guide to master it. Additionally, the screen shots in the book, which are kind of important, are almost illegible. In fact, they are illegible in some parts. This is a great book if you are just curious about what is really involved in hacking, but it is not going to get you very far in to it.
