9MM/ .243 .308/6.5MM/300BLK 7.62x35mm/.44mag/30-06/25-06/270 Cal Rem Gauge Bore Sight Red Dot Boresighter with Batteries

I had a laser site bore that was a 6" stick with a laser. It had different adapters used for various calibers. Just pick the adapter, attach it to the end of the stick, insert in barrel, turn it on and site. However, laser was not alligned. It would make a circle on the wall when rotated in the barrel. So I just zeroed my site on the center of the circle. This site bore goes in the chamber and appears to be straight. I inserted it several times and it appears to be in the same position on the wall. My red dot was factory adjusted and these 2 seam to align up very well. So I will go to the range to confirm. This site bore is same size as a 9mm bullet and very compact, came with 9 batteries and a nice metal case the size of an old aspirin case. only needed 2 batteries to power up and very bright. A great item for the price. Will re review after I go to the range.

I always check center with cordless drill.

Works as a bore sight for initial sighting. The batteries are cumbersome and didn't last very long. Other then that it's a no brainier to use.

OK, first off, this item is inexpensive when compared to other bore-sights.Although it works as advertised It is cheaply made. If.you are an armorerI'd avoid it. If you have a couple of guns it'll serve your purpose fine. The cap must be removed to turn off, risking losing the parts. More expensive models allow you to simply turn them off. Store in a zip loc to avoid lo losing parts. 3+ stars
