The media could not be loaded. The blades cut the herbs easily without bruising them. I had pre-cut and frozen my herbs so a few fell through but the majority were cut well. I had 2 kinds of herbs to cut and I placed them both in at the same time. Turning the plunger back and forth while gently pressing it down worked really well. When filling it, I placed my finger over the center hole to keep anything from falling in.I wasn't able to take the blades off to clean it but I immersed it in water and turned the blades back and forth with my fingers inside the tube while swishing it around in the water and it cleaned up easily.It is a good deal for the price and would also be a good gift for a kitchen afficionado.

Was not as described for grinding herbs I tossed it in the garbage clogged up and not chopping

It does work very well in chopping herbs but I expected just to turn one way and mine actually works great with a back and forth motion. Very pleased with the end result as my parsley was pretty uniform in size which waa a huge change from cutting it with a knife

If you're like me, you could find something better to do with your time than chop herbs. So, I tried this gadget. Honestly, for the price, it's okay. I most often end up with whole leaves or bigger chunks, but it's still more efficient than me chopping myself. The blades aren't sharp enough and there's not enough motion to get a good mince. But it's okay for what you pay.
